First attempt ever to do power rankings. I like to think of power rankings in the style of BCS. Wins / Losses don't really matter if you're playing cupcake games. So, here I go.
1 Sooner State Shockers 6-0-0 W6
Dropped the Eekins in week 5, who have given some major trouble to the Empire. Finally clinched total points for the conf. and have taken first place. No other games of significance. (Other than playing a very good game against the Express in the pre-season.)
2 Richmond Raiders 6-0-0 W6
Some people might try to fight this decision, but until Week 15 comes around, I feel that the Raiders are a more powerful team than the empire. The Raiders game against the Dirty Birds will set the tone for the Eekins game following. I'm really hoping for some exciting games for this team. Let me say this: I'll definitely be game planning against this team when our match-up comes around. Good looking D.
3 New York Empire 6-0-0 W6
The Empire lose out to the Raiders for #2 spot due to the tight game against the surprisingly competitive Eekins. I still haven't watched this game play-for-play, but it showed that there might be some coordination issues w/ the Empire, or that they underestimated that one considerably. The Empire does seem to be a legacy team in BBB #6, and I'm really surprised they are not going for blood this season. They've made all the right moves, but unless they're really just holding out on some magic, I see this team possibly going 14-2 this season, maybe 13-3.
4 Pac-Five Warriors 5-1-0 W1
This team's secondary seems to be its Achilles's Heel. You can game plan all day long, but in the end, you're true potential can only be as great as you're players builds. Was a tough loss to the Raiders, but I believe this team can make some moves mid-season and turn it around.
5 Worcester Eekins 4-2-0 W1
Here's my underdog for the season. Reasoning was already mentioned above; a 49-47 loss to the Empire. What should have been an easy statistical win, turned into a slugfest in the red-zone for both teams. This team should not be under-estimated in any way. The Outlaws, Dirty-Birds, and Warriors should really look out against this team. I smell veteran coordination from this team for sure.
6 San Diego Outlaws 5-1-0 L1
7 Atlanta Dirtybirds 4-2-0 W2
8 Baton Rouge Predators 3-3-0 L2
9 Los Angeles Pirates 2-4-0 W2
10 WESTERN WOLFPAK 3-3-0 L1
11 South Side Devil Dogs 2-4-0 L1
12 Fargo Woodchippers CPU 2-4-0 W1
13 Compton Cougars 1-5-0 L2
14 NORTHWEST IOWA BLITZ STORM 1-5-0 L5
15 Kearsley Hornets 0-6-0 L6
16 Steel City Ironworker 0-6-0 L6
----------------------------------------------------------
Now then, I really can't wait to see the big games. I have a firm belief that the game of the season will be the Raiders v Shockers match-up. I do hope anyone who's anyone that cares about the conference as a whole will watch that game play-for-play.
That it! Signing off.
