So, it looks like I was a little off on the Houston-Jax Beach game...However, I'm thinking it was a fluke...Jax Beach is not that bad of a team...This week, there's 2 games that could vie for the Game of the Week honors, but like the Highlander "there can be only one"...
Last Week: 8-0
Overall: 25-7
Looks like Jack B. isn't the only one that can go 8-0...Let's see if I can do it two weeks in a row...
Texas Presidents (4-2) vs. Texas Tech Big Red Spread (0-6)--So the popular saying is that everything is bigger in Texas...Well, the only thing that's going to be big in this game is going to be the number of points that the Presidents put on the board...Texas is looking to be a serious contender in the infamous "Da 7"...On the flip side, Texas Tech is looking toward a showdown with Minnesota to see who matches the Lions...Texas 97-Texas Tech 6
Houston Armageddon (6-0) vs. Delray Manatees (3-3)--So Houston survived their two big tests of the season by dispatching the Juggernauts with relative ease...They have no tests left...The big question is, will they get complacent by having 10 gimmie games left before the playoffs? I'm thinking not...Delray survived a scare from the CPU Cavemen...Unfortunately, Houston is not CPU controlled, and they're not shilling car insurance...Houston 157-Delray 10
Baton Rouge Bayou Bengals (1-5) vs. State of Texas Domination (1-5)--Both of these teams have nothing left to play for except for be tied for the 2nd worst record in the league...It was expected for the Domination to be this bad, but there were hopes that Baton Rouge could at least put together a respectable season...The good news is that Baton Rouge actually has some semblance of a defense in place, while Texas' defense more closely resembles the Lions defense from this year...Baton Rouge 35-State of Texas 10
Minnesota Paladins (0-6) vs. Lincoln Freedom Warriors (5-1)--Minnesota...Where do we begin? Besides getting beat by a CPU team and giving up 140 points to Frostburg, they've given up 210 points to Alamo City...No offense to Frostburg and Alamo City, they're not Lincoln...The Freedom Warriors are once again living up to their name after the disappointment in Houston...Although Lincoln has a game to look forward to against Jax Beach in week 8, they're not going to overlook Minnesota enough to fall short...Lincoln 198-Minnesota 0
Alamo City Souljahs (4-2) vs. Killian's Irish Red (3-3)--Jimo is slowly putting together a formidable force in Alamo City...While Killian's is 3-3, their 3 wins have come against teams that are a combined 2-16...The Souljahs have wins against 2 bubble playoff teams...This game is going to be about as fair as submitting Snoop to a random drug test...There's no way that Killian's drunken Irish roots will keep them from getting smoked this week...Alamo City 94-Killian's 13
Antarctica Cavemen (1-5) vs. Deimon Devil Bats (3-3)--Antarctica almost shocked me again by nearly upsetting Delray...I guess this is not your average CPU controlled team...Unfortunately for them, they're running into one of the playoff bubble teams this week...Deimon is sneaking up on nearly everyone, except for last week when they got run over by the buzzsaw residing in Alamo City...They'll have a good shot this week to re-assert themselves as playoff contenders...Deimon 90-Antarctica 10
The Not Quite Main Event: Torrington Wildcats (4-2) vs. Richmond Empire (5-1)--Richmond is quietly hanging around the top of the standings...Now that they've finally found an owner interested in building the team, they could be a team to spoil one of the favorites' run in the playoffs...Torrington is one of those enigmatic teams that has me guessing from week to week which team is going to show up...They're one of those middle of the road teams that will most likely make the playoffs, but they won't make too much noise...They have yet to face one of the heavy hitters, and this week will give them a chance to see where they stand in the BBB7 hierarchy...Richmond 66-Torrington 24
GAME OF THE WEEK: Jax Beach Juggernauts (5-1) vs. Frostburg Bobcats (4-2)--I never thought that I would mention Frostburg and Game of the Week in the same sentance, but here they are...They've flexed their muscles against the weak teams, but they've struggled to show much against the top teams...In their 2 losses they've been outscored 201-13...Unfortunately for them, they're running up against the last of the top dogs this week...This is their chance to show that they're for real...Jax Beach 87-Frostburg 14...

AHHHH......the good old days. It was nice to see that everyone had their play books out studying though. Too bad there wasn't a weight room on the plane. Maybe next year.
