My level 25 LOLB currently has 29 jumping and 25 catching. How far should I train each? I'm planning on training both on intense until the end of the season, that should take me to about 33 and 29. The catching should be fine at that point, but is there a significant advantage to getting jumping much higher than that?

get jumping up to cap for sure.(high diving tackle is delicious too)And get catching up to about 40ish. Do you find yourself covering the tight end a lot?

Yeah, he's usually occupied with covering tight ends that never get thrown to. I like to think that's because my LB is too awesome and QBs are scared of him.

a lot of tight ends in this game suck. seriously. I had a high level L.O.L.B. I retired before this year for the flex. (waiting for the game to mellow out with the changes). If he wasn't shutting the tight end down he was deflecting the pass.

My LOLB has 33.51 jumping and 39.37 catching, he's a level 42, was about 38 last year.

He had 5 INTs and 27 PDs last season
This season, he has only 1 INT and 11 PDs through 5 games

I find myself more in coverage this year, so I'm guessing catching has to be higher than it was last year, jumping also has a big effect on LBs because it determines your tackling and pass deflection radius

Thanks guys, sounds like I'll be putting points into both after I take care of some more pressing matters (agility).

IMO don't bother really putting many points into catching unless you have a decent amount of PDs to begin with. Dropped INTs count as PDs, so you should be able to tell when your guy was close.

But, once you increase your agility and speed, you will also increase your PDs, guaranteed

dual train jumping and catching for the bonus tokens for gear. in a season they will go up 3-5 points. and i dont think either needs to be higher than 40. vision will affect this a lot too, so if it isn't soft capped at least, that should be another priority.

Vision at the first softcap has so far been fine, he's never getting lost and always sticks to the TE. His first real challenge in the last game he faced a level 32 TE and a 36 QB, 8 passes were targeted at this TE resulting in 3 incompletions, two deflected completions, a completion where my guy blitzed (probably not the best idea), a drop and a play I really can't figure out:

He gets close to the TE, WR and HB and suddenly can't decide what to do? I don't really think this is a vision problem, it just looks like he throws himself to the ground and starts crying.

Hey Votes, I would personally say that you don't need to go past 35 in either. My level 40 LOLB has 33 jumping and 32 catching, and he gets plenty of INT's and PD's. Jumping is more important than catching though, because it increases your diving tackle radius also.

Don't worry about putting points into either of these until your speed, agility, and vision are all at the 3:1 cap, and your tackling and strength are at least at the 2:1 IMO
