So there were actually a couple of games worth talkin about, but in the end the favorites are still the winners. Strong showing by Emmaus definitly caught the eye of the league and the voter can't help but think this year may be more competitive than first thought.
1. Bronx - Came from behind in the fourth quarter to win going away, and the game was much closer than the score indicates. Touchdowns win games not field goals and Emmaus learned that lesson today. We shall see as the season progresses whether or not this is an indicator of Emmaus' strength or Bronx weakness. Either way Bronx is still the #1 by virtue of their performance throughout the season and their talent level.
2. Port Moody - Killed a CPU team by a good score and they keep the momentum going into their showdown with Atlanta in 2 games time. The usual suspect on Port Moody led their team to the win again and they look very impressive to this point in the season. Still need to face good competition to gauge their true team, but thats coming.
3. Teikoku - Beatdown a Thundertown squad that has now lost 3 straight games to playoff competition, and beat them in a similar score to the one Bronx did. Whitesquall is beast and is right up there in any discussions about MVP. The Alexander's defense is still a little suspect, but they are a team clearly deserving a #3 ranking.
4. Victoria - Demolished a lvl 20 laden Yancy squad not even allowing TD. Creating turnovers and a dynamic offense have helped Victoria to some big wins over some terrible teams in route to gettting that chemistry back in time for the late season push. Still have a few more bad teams before a couple of good ones later this week.
5. Atlanta - Beat a slow build team down to a no build team. Continue to impress in their big wins and have their eyes on the next 3 games as they go to face Emmaus, Port Moody and Victoria to find out what they are really made of.
6. Emmaus - Had a great lookin defensive game but couldn't convert offense into touchdowns and lost to Bronx by a very respectable score. Having beat all the lesser competition the mission now turns to beating a team like Atlanta to see if they are top 4 ready.
7. Thundertown - Lost to Teikoku in a game that was never really close. They do appear to have the talent to compete so a late season push is not out of the question.
Season has gone scripted so far but the next few games provides some great matchups to last eveeryone until the end of the season and the cracking games we have ahead of us.
