Bear with me.. trying to make sense of this.

When defending say ... a Weak I formation.. do you simply set the WR's to 2 and 2. Or do you need to account for ALL possibilities and go 3 and 5? For say.. passes outta the backfield and to the TE?


Or is it one setting based on the formation... Singleback 3WR would be 3 and 3. However, based on the playcalls available should it be set to 3 and 5?

Nope. It's literal number of WRs.

I don't set them for anything but shotgun 3 and 5, but have never had issue with my sg3 having number of wrs set to "3 to 3"

Cannot have 5 WR in a single back formation nor can you have a TE w/ 5 WR

I formaltions - 0-2 (2-2)
Single back 0-3 (3-3)
Shotgun (0-4) even though only 3
Shotgun 5WR (3-5) (because it appears to me that teams using 3 WRs and 2 TEs in 5WR shotgun will trigger the shottgun 3WR output unless it's been chnaged from last season)

False. IME, adding a 5th WR who is a TE makes the AI select the 4 WR (shotgun-3WR) as the output. At least it did last season.
