Been a great, competitive season so far with only 3 teams left in Garuda having a chance to go undefeated. Lot's of good games on the docket this week, so plenty to watch and enjoy!
South Austin Bats at Bangkok Tweetys:
It's Birds versus Bats in the battle between the current #1 and #8 seeds. Last year the Tweetys batted South Austin out of the stadium, and I suspect little will change this time around as Bangkok will be motivated to protect their current #1 record. TWEETYS by 13
Singapore Bulls at Yokohama Yaks:
Two of the best teams from AAA#2 collide this week in a contest of wills. The Bulls own the better record so far, but the Yaks have beat them before and will probably do so again. YAKS by 10
Colorado Tombstones at Louisiana Screaming Pelicans:
LSP will have to be on heavy doses of LSD for the Tombstones to have any chance of winning. Since acid is one of the only casualties of the "war on drugs" and is gone from the streets, they're pretty much fucked. Colorado gets buried early. SCREAMING PELICANS by 35
Awendaw ToadFish at Ho Chi Mean Hot Mamas:
The Toadfish have the edge on the scouting bars, and are coming off an impressive victory over the Highlanders, but I still think the Mamas are probably too hot for them to handle. HOT MAMAS by 7
Manila Warlords at Hong Kong Hustlers:
Both teams are looking to rise above .500 with a victory this week. HKH have the homefield edge, and I think that will be enough to make the difference here. HUSTLERS by 6
Port Moresby Titans at Hong Kong Highlanders:
The talent gap has closed somewhat from the whooping the Titans endured last season from the Highlanders, but Port Moresby still has a way to go. The margin of defeat will be smaller than their 51-3 result last season, but it will still be another notch in the 'L' column. HIGHLANDERS by 20
Taiwan Blood Pandas at 4077th M*A*S*H:
It's hard to believe the mighty Blood Pandas are currently sitting in 12th place, but thats the facts. A quick trip to hospital will do much to remedy their current pain in the standings. BLOOD PANDAS by 35
Semarang Red Bulls at Singapore Flames:
Hard to believe that two teams this good have a combined 1-3 record, but it just speaks to the competitiveness at the conference. This should be a good battle and the result could swing either way. Hard to call, but I'll choose Singapore. FLAMES by 3
