DDL is off to an 0-2 start with neither loss being being close. It seems that their offseason losses hurt more than most of us thought they would.

The Pushovers are also 0-2 with both losses by over 24 points. If these two aren't careful they could both be heading into their week 4 showdown 0-4.

I don't know. Our offense is in disarray after I fired our OC for the total mismanagement of our opener against BSB, which we would have won were it not for rushing on 3rd and long every single goddamn time. We have a new OC and one test scrim against the Pushovers tomorrow to get our asses in gear.

That said, the Continentals over DDL would have been unthinkable last season but I agree - we have a chance.

DDL has played two excellent teams. Philly started slow last year as well. To count either out at this point would be presumptuous.

I think this just speaks volumes of the how tough Pro Ball has become in both leagues. Outside of the CPUs, in the east at least (and I'm sure it's also fairly true in the West, I just don't pay enough attention to confirm or deny it), any team is capable of beating any other. Sure, a few may need some breaks to pull it off, but I wouldn't be shocked to see any team in the East beat any other. I know DDL & Philly still are extremely tough in my eyes and I expect both to be there at the end of season.

Many of DDL's wins were a result of Kote and Mathis over the last 2 seasons.

Without them, they are just a normal USA Pro Team imo.

All the consolidation of the other teams has increased the levels up to near DDL heights also.

See what happens when Tim Harper and his players don't go to DDL or Pushovers after talks of going there?

They both start off 0-2.

I don't know...I've seen DDL win plenty of games with almost no contribution from those guys.

I think Philly is playing possum. Were they boosted for their last game?

Ive never had any problems with you but that comment was just retarded.

No, we just suck now. Whether you know it or not, I've always bucked the system a bit on Speed and preferred a more balanced approach to building players. Suddenly, this season, those balanced players started to suck, horribly.

what part of speed is kicking your butt more so than usual? Serious question. Speed WR's aren't rolling because QB passing distance was dialed back. Speed backs aren't on fire by any means. And have you seen speed DE's lately.

I'm in the same boat as Jed, we've always kinda bucked the system re: Speed as well. It's still early but just from the scrimmages and games we have played, I've noticed a huge difference in our teams performance. It could just be the level of competition we are playing now, but it's something I'm keeping an eye on.

My guess would be LB/CB/S. I'd still take speed at WR over anything else though, even with these changes.

I think it's more about the competition in the PRO league improving.

Speed got a big "nerf" indirectly this season. Like coachviking said, most of the speed builds are having a tougher time this season. Big plays are much rare this season, game has slowed down a lot.
