So I am the GM/DC of my team. I don't run much Zone coverage for my CBs so I have told all CBs to shop for Shutdown Coverage. Well my best Shutdown Corner found a +1 Catching +1 Closing Speed. He is very good and currently has 0 points in Closing Speed as is. His AE is currently %15 Deflect Ball chance.

My question is, at this point will Closing Speed help or hurt him?

to my understanding CS works best in zone and is more of a safety SA, so based on what you say, Id keep looking, esp as the Deflect Ball chance piece is doing a nice job anyway ....

deflect ball % can hurt you too though

i mean its not a bad peice of AE at all but the % deflect will lower his chance at INT's

So Shutdown Coverage should be first priority and maybe Super Vision second?

i don't think this is correct.

aggressive coverage makes you go for ints more often. semi goes for PDs more often. long reach gives you a second chance on your pd roll. i think that indicates that the int and pd are two different rolls. you could have 100% pd chance and you will still get picks since they are different rolls. it just depends on the situation for which one your player attempts.

No, Bort has said that the INT roll comes before the PD roll. He said this when people asked about Long Reach having a chance to re-roll a PD, and he assured people that it wouldn't take away the INT if an INT had been rolled in the first place.
