For those of you who have elusive HBs have you noticed your player consistently running out of bounds when on the sides?

I'll admit that sometimes it's a good thing when you're facing 2-3 opponents but sometimes it's real silly. Especially when it's a 1 on 1 with a TD on the line.

I posted here : http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=1775370&page=1#14515647

and was told it's working as intended by Bort. Which basically means that the latest changes to elusive have provided us HBs that will consistently run out of bounds without at least challenging a secondary.

How do you elusive HB owners feel about this change?

This has been happening since Late Season 5.

Noticed that from last season on my Power HB, I think it's about confidence, but I don't know about higher leveled players with confidence capped or higher having the same problems.

also, it happens in real life often, maybe the HBs are just getting more realistic...

I understand that elusive HB's sometimes want to go out of bounds where about to get tackled by 2-3 players and want to play safe... but to run directly off the field when challenged with 1 secondary with a TD on the line?

I might as well put a French flag as an avatar.

Sadly, my confidence is 37. If this is actually you know, the issue, I'd boost it, really, to make my player stop doing that.

confidence issue im sure, scardy cat doesn't wanna take a hit...

happens all the time in real football, a WR or HB will get a first down near the edge of the field then will walk out when pressured from the side/front instead of trying to beat the defender. we praise them when they try to fight out for the extra yards in these situations... but you can't blame em for stepping outta bounds after they've already pulled off a 15 yd run.... you still go NICE RUN

Still a problem. This is a 40 confidence back running on 40 elusive:

My Elusive HB has 49 Confidence and still runs out of bounds all the damn time....freaking annoying. Set on 50 Elusive.

Well the definition of elusive is to "avoid tacklers". Can't be tackled if you run out of bounds.

I won't mind it much when injuries come into play.

I'm retiring my elusive backs. They have the tools, but this is a power back game now with no looking back.

It's not that bad. We have an elusive and a power back on my team. There stats are almost the same. This means it is all about your Oline gentleman not your backs. Unless you don't know how to make them. Also once your competition gets stiffer as you progress in this game forget about 3000 yards and 100 tds a season. It just not going to happen once you get up there in level. Please stop with elusive backs suck. Its just ridiculous. If you want those stats retire your player once he hits the Pro's. Also I am running on 70% elusive style. His #'s arn''t gaudy but he gets the job done in one of the best Pro leagues in the game. I will post both backs. Legend is an Elusive and Bobblehead is a Power.

Legend ( elusive ) - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=93653&playoffs=0
Bobblehead ( Power ) - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=178929&playoffs=0

Almost identical...

Yeah, this isn't a build issue at all, tbh.

Since when is 40 confidence high? That's not even to the first cap. I understand there are far more important attributes to work on for a hb, but that may be how the game is set up. It gives you something to aim for/improve on. If you had 60 or 65 confidence and he still runs out of bounds everytime then I can understand saying it's the sim.
