Anyone else notice the 5 yard gain is now 3 and the 4 yard gainer is now 2.5? Or did RB's just not regress in the game during the offseason.

.....there have been some obvious changes made to the running game. I appreciate the need to modify the game, but please, the adjustments to the running game are too much! The reason this game is successful and likeable (for now), is due to the fact, that it is unrealistic and that makes it FUN! If we wanted to have a boring game sim with average stats and average players....we wouldn't play a 'video/beta game' - we can find that in fantasy football. We can find that dose of reality in real life football. I play this game b/c it's more a video game than a real football game - if I wanted the other I can find it on the tube right now won't find the need to pay $3-$9 per every 50 days to play guessing games.

I'm trying not to get to whiny, but it needs to be re-evaluated.

Running does seem a bit tougher this season, although Power Backs seem to be breaking more tackles than in the past.

I'm glad he's reigning in the running game. I don't play this to see crazy numbers, I'd much prefer realism.

Its probably due to the reverse pancakes and an increased slow down in traffic. OL actually getting knocked down makes it a bit easier to disrupt running plays. Pretty much makes elusive backs worthless on inside runs. However, power backs are certainly godly again:

The running game took a hit because last season DTs (especially NTs) were too weak.

They have been tweaked, and the game has been affected.

Dems da breaks.

I personally don't mind the nerfing of the run game. Makes things a bit more realistic and forces most teams to try and throw the ball more and not be one dimensional.

50-60 broken tackles in a game is 'Real' ? I can now effectively stop your inside running game with 6 in the box....does that seem real? Feels like season 4 all over again. Personally, my team is not affected by this....I just hate to see this happening to the quality of the game again when it seemed we had worked away from this in season 4. Last season your back could be equally effective both as a powerback (95 strength) or scat back (95 speed) inside or out....but Its crazy to see 40-60 broken tackles in 1 game and scat backs being punished by running inside....I don't see where the current system is more 'REAL' than what we had in season 6. At least your defense had to commit to stopping the run (throwing 8-9 in the box) or the pass which is much more real that the current sim, imo.

fact is alot of teams would throw 8-9 in the box and the hb would still gain 5-8yds a carry, does that seem real?

Show me 1 game where a team had 5-8 yard average per carry against 2 equally matched teams...with a decent defensive gameplan.

FACT IS....the best you could hope for was 3.5 - 4 yards per carry:

look at any game where the vaqueros got beat last season. Most of the time we loaded up against the rush. and we matched up equally, and we have very competent builds in our players

you also have to remember the games are going to totally change once the season starts, because players will be able to boost +5 sp for a stat when they use the 4 bonus tokens

Wow - I'm officially convinced that the Vaqueros are not an EQUALLY MATCHED team than those teams they lost to. Thank you for making my point stronger.

In the NFL or college, if you want to get REAL - and let's put the Vaqueros aside as I don't want to step on any toes, it is commonly known that to stop a running game and force your opponent to throw the ball effectively places the odds to win the game in your favor. That was season 6 sim. Enter season 7 - I now have a back at 97 strength that breaks 23 tackles against a better team and we lose....what the fugg!

Elvis had 23 missed tackles today vs Lincoln.....we've never had that kind of bullshit ever in this game. I don't care how good your back is....no way he has 23 broken tackles against an equally matched defense. The running game sim sucks!

I'm now going to build my WR's to have 75 strength and 70 catching with 60 speed to break every tackle on their way to the end zone - too real ! Welcome to season 7.
