does defense general work in the 3-4? This is my first season running a 3-4 and I'm wondering if my LBs have wasted their SPs on it. On the same subject, does it work in nickel and dime packages?

When you're in 3-4, the sim randomly decides to check for general on one of your two ILBs. Then, after it picks one, it rolls to see if it will activate. So unless they both have the same number, it can screw you sometimes.
Nickle and dime both are fine.
