Here is my back

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=684798&playoffs=0

He was a pure slow build hb. Now that I have dumped all my SP, I am wondering which path would you take him?

All equip is off, and these are base stats.... So basically I can go +26 to str, speed, or agl..

69 +26 str
71 speed
69 agl

69 str
71 +26 speed
69 agl

69 str
71 speed
69 +26 agl

I usualy run on combo, but could go any direction from here. Could distribute evenly but I like equip in all one stat. Just looking for some ideas here, any comments welcomed.

And before you say more vision, more sta, more carry I will probably never invest any SP in anything except Speed, str, and agl. The remain stats will only be trained. At 40 I may start investing in SA's.

I'd recommend putting the equipment in speed.

I will probably invest in track star, but haven't picked one yet. If I did go all speed, that would take the most advantage of the VA.

I'd go all equip in speed, and focus on Quick Cut and Stiff Arm SAs. I wouldn't touch Power Thru with only 70 strength. Running on combo with that much speed and quick cut should get you a lot of defenders coming at you from the "side", making stiff arm pretty valuable.

I do not think I will invest in SA's until 40.

I am more fond of the power tree by far, but I do not know if I want to invest in one tree, or break it up between the 2.

At 40 I could have about

73 str
75 speed
75 agl

with 30 gear points to play with.

At some point the lack of SA will catch up with me, but I'd like to hold off as long as I can.

I wouldn't spend 5SP/point in agility, I really think with quick cut being as powerful as it is (7 Quick Cut can more than make up for a 90+ speed back having 50 agility (I've seen multiple cases where this is true lol)) you could take 10SP from 2 agility and raise quick cut from 0 to 5. I definitely understand what you're trying to do with the build (my power HB is built with the same concept that if major attributes are high enough you can be a beast with low minor attributes) but all that agility seems excessive, I'd actually be content with just 68 agility, 6 quick cut, and jacking up strength or speed even higher.

Every HB should have Quick Cut, power back or not, it helps all types of HBs. But yeah the custom equipment should go in the power tree.

these guys are crazy. put all equipment in str go with a ton of lower the shoulder and power thru. you would have a fantastic power back 90+str/70spd/70agi would be redonk. run on 100% power.

Do you have some examples of high quick cut working?

From the elusive tree I love that Quick cut is first, and I would also like to get high first step. From the power back tree, I would want high stiff arm, and maybe power thru, but I do not believe I am built to take full advantage of high power thru.

I could see a quick cut/first step/Stiff arm build working.

From 32 to 40 I will gain 40 sp (8 x 5) + at least 8 if i train on intense maybe more like 10 if bort continues to allow us to train in off seasons. (plus 2 saved)

So with 52 sp I could go custom in the elusive tree...

6 Quick cut (12 sp) 6 First Step (12 sp + 4sp for Head fake) 27 sp in the elusive tree
7 stiff arm (2sp + 6sp + 16sp) 24 sp in the power tree

51 total sp for
7-4-7-1-1 elusive,
2-4-7-0-0 power

Then I guess run on combo and get both the speed and str VA's?

That was my original plan, and very easy to accomplish. I had trained str first to 3rd cap.

power tree would be easy to get 3-6-6-9-0 (4-7-7-10-0) costing me around 53 sp by 40.

Va would be workout warrior and bruiser.

I would def have to make sure I train carry though, but its a viable path.

Veteran abilities go up to 10 max so with the amount of Veteran poins you'll have at level 40 you'll be able to invest in multiple abilities. So after Track Star I'd recommend investing in Slippery.

You'll have the strength to break that first tackle and the speed to get away from everyone else.

well it's just an opinion. I am planning on building a power back like this right now. he is level 4 I am going to bring speed and agility to 68 first. then train str and carrying together for a while after that bring str to 68 and carrying to cap eventually. so hopefully by level 32 he would look similar to that except have more carrying. all i will concentrate on is those 4 until level 32. I like it because I don't think power backs have to rely on vision so much.

my power back

88 63 49
20 vision only 30 carrying
sa's 3-3-4-5-2

seems to work well.

yep, basically the same thing i said. and honestly, my non-slow build HB will look like this soon.
