"This player slips out of tackles with ease. Each level of Slipper gives a 2% bonus to breaking tackles when using at least 50% Elusive running"

Perhaps i am overanalyzing but I am confused on this. Most elusive backs arent known for breaking tackles.

Check out Stiff Arms description "Increases the chances of the skill working, and increases the bonus to avoiding tackles".

In GLB land does breaking and avoiding tackles mean the same thing or are there 2 different ways of not being tackled? I guess I am a bit concerned that we may be wasting points in slippery if it gives you a bonus to breaking tackles on elusive, avoiding tackles I could see.

ANyone got any insight?

if an elusive is moving sideways away from a defender, then he has a chance to break a tackle via agility.

agility is the same thing for an elusive as strength is for a power. it breaks tackles, just not as much. this is the bonus to breaking those tackles.

here's a great replay of that:

SS misses b/c of RB's agility

edit: looking at it, it might be a juke too, but the point is: the tackle isn't broken via strength. this VA gives a bonus to stuff like that for elusives.

i think every broken tackle takes strength, speed, agility, basically all attributes into account, just obviously high speed and agility aren't weighted as heavily as strength in the equation (or they are, and they just aren't as effective because defenses build themselves to have the same amount of speed/agility and less strength, LOL)

slippery is like u r being wrapped up but the defender just cant get a hold of u all the way and u "slip out" of his arms
Stiff Arms is when u push the defneder away from u.
a powerback would just plow through the tacklers

that replay looks like the RB juked away from the defender then he dives out at him and the RB "stiff arms" him away
or maybe the SS just missed on the dive but i dont think thats a broken tackle

well, thats an elusive back, so i doubt theres stiff arm in his build. zerotolerance can answer that though.

still, its obvious that the RB didn't power through the defender, he evaded him. and its listed in the replay as a missed tackle

No stiff arm in the build.
