I'd love for somebody/a few people to try this out. I just don't have the flex, otherwise I probably would.

A low-Agility, super fast power HB. You'd start out by pushing SPD up to 68, then Agility, Carrying, and Strength to 49, and then get Power Through up to 9. A few points into First Step might be necessary, but that's what AEQ is for. Running on Power, he'd hit the hole hard, plow through LBs and Safeties, and then have the breakaway speed to take it to the house. EQ would be in SPD, as well.

And before anybody asks, yes, this is the shit that I think about in my free time.

Even with high power through I don't think he would power through very much with only 48 str. SAs are just multipliers on existing stats for the most part.

You don't know that. You're just regurgitating what you've heard.

watch my HB. i'm doing this with him (minus the whole low-agility part). he'll be a monster in a few seasons.

edit: except his equip is in strength.

The EQ in SPD thing was kind of key. Your guy might get to the second level, but if there are any half-decently build players on the D, he won't be able to break away for big gains.

I'm actually already doing this, although I'm building my HB to be a power KR.

I've triple capped strength and I'll triple cap speed next with all my equipment gong into it.

I can't imagine any way that a RB could be effective when even most of the DTs are more agile than him

Yeah, because you know, agility determines how good a player is. O_o

agility gets him up to speed. I see lots of tackles for losses in your future

It sure goes a long way in determining how good a player is when that player is a RB. You'll have terrible acceleration and you're not going to run through dlinemen very often. IF you get a gaping hole that lets you get up to full speed and hit the LBs with a full head of steam, then yeah, maybe he'll do ok. But most likely, he's going to suck.

He's right, I'm fairly sure Bort has confirmed that SAs work better with high correlating stats (i.e. are multiplicative). I think that Power Through is less so because it has to trigger and doesn't work constantly, so if you really wanted to make this HB, it would be a good idea to invest in Lower Shoulder as well to give a constant increase to break tackle chance.

a FB should be able to get a higher natural str since they get .5 per level.
