I'd love for somebody/a few people to try these out. I just don't have the flex, otherwise I probably would.

1. An Agility-less DE. You would pump Speed up until you hit level 30, at which point you'd switch your focus to your SAs; First Step to compensate for Acceleration, CD to compensate for shiftiness, SB to help to shed blocks without Agility, and TV to finish the deal.

2. A low-Agility DT. You'd start out by taking STR up to 77.25, then AGI to 49, then SPD to 61. Then you'll have access to Vet Abilities, so you can load up on Heavyweight and Strong Base, and try knocking over the LG and using your high speed to get to the QB.

And before anybody asks, yes, this is the shit that I think about in my free time.

Yeah, trying to get the word out.

And do you really? I was pretty sure that Agility has always been thought of as a top 2 attribute for DTs.

But not with the heavyweight vet ability...which *could* make a huge difference!

Exactly. Heavyweight + strong base, IN THEORY, could be a downright broken.

Not happening. You are only talking about a multiplicative increase. Str based linemen have been useless since season 3, and will probably remain useless.

Combine 84 STR with 15 Workout Warrior, all EQ into STR, and 10 Strong Base, AND 15 Heavyweight by level 40.

84*1.15=96.6+30=126.6 STR along with 10 Strong Base and a 30% increase to the chance of knocking over your blocker.

the heavyweight + strong base theory might have worked before season 6, but after the O-line changes i'm pretty sure you'd be wasting your time

I retired a level 34 DE last season that was a high strength, low agility DE, he never worked well.

Wrong. DT's use to pump up strength and strength only. Only the past 2 or 3 seasons has high agility been used for DT's.

Neither one will be very successul imo. The DT won't work because C and G pump strength like crazy too. You might be a little stronger than them, but you'll never be so much stronger that you're going to physically dominate often enough to make a difference.

And I know for a fact the DE won't work. I used to have one similar to that. He was high speed with about a 1:1 agility/strength ratio. He sucked really bad. I'm pretty sure it took until his 3rd season to register his frist sack, and then that was only because I changed his equipment around to get more agility.
