I know everyone loves those flashy speed DEs, but these are what you really should have, especially if you are running a 3-4. My first player was a DE and I figured out a way of building him that made him just slide off blocks. He would've had better numbers but the rest of the DLine wasn't particularly good and he was double or triple teamed on every play (RG+RT+TE). That's besides the point, however. I retired him a little while ago and decided to make a pair of DEs in his mold. They will be more efficient because I've had time to slow build them and I haven't wasted any points this time around.

While they aren't ready yet, they will be by mid-season. The slow build team got sold off, and I am looking for a capped league to bring these guys into. They don't fully have their level 8 equipment yet and will soon be needing their level 16 equipment, so those are costs that you should keep in mind.

Also, I used to DC and while I'm not interested in doing it anymore, I was pretty darn good at it (top defense 3 seasons in a row despite lower levels than many leading teams). If you have any questions about the advanced AI, I'd be more than happy to answer them.
