Because Tricon asked here goes
Detroit Demon Lions V Cincinnati Shockers.
The shockers had a solid come from behind win against a very good Maulers team. They were able to take advantage of Green Bays turnovers to pull out a win. DDL was able to use a solid ground attack to grind out a win against Harper's Stangs. The vaunted DDL pass rush was effective as usual giving the Mustangs little time to get into their passing game.
My two keys to this game are, first of all, the Shockers need to pressure Blake. They got to him twice in their first matchup and the Stangs smacked him around for 12 hurries and 6 sacks in round 1.
DDL must establish a running game. The only reason their first game was close was because the Shockers were -3 in the turnover department. DDL's ground game was nonexistent in that game, which allowed for the QB pressure.
Both teams are on a solid roll and TSE thinks this is his year. I don't know if the DDL Offense can help their D enough to win this time. Shockers 31-Demon Lions 27
Boston Nighthawks V Philadelphia Pushovers. Nighthawks did very bad thing to the Pirates in rnd one, to the point that it's not worth discussing, except for the fact that the one dimensional running team THREW for 488 in a playoff game.....HELLO. The Pushovers simpily CRUSHED the bullets with emphasis on crush for the 11 sacks they had.
Philly needs to figure out how to stop SOMETHING that Boston does. In their regular season matchup they were burned in the air and on the ground. Even though they were able to pressure the QB, the Nighthawks still passed all over them. I don't what the Nighthawks can really find to work on from their first matchup other than they only punted for 32 yards per punt. Other than that they play a near perfect game against Philly the first time.
I don't see the Pushovers being able to make enough moves to make this game winnable much less competitive. Boston wins 41-14.
