Title pretty much says it all. Should I keep him or retire him. He is built as a Balanced Free Safety.

He's not that bad. He may be burnt a few times as a FS, but will perform nicely at SS.
What I would do to make him better is:
1) Put all equipment into speed.
2) Sell the Monster Hit AEQ. It's going to be useless for you.

Monster Hit has been causing fumbles. So it's not exactly useless at all. I had another ADV Eq, that had +1 jumping with it. That I didn't realize was equipped. Other then that it's all in speed.

He's right, though, you should consider shopping a little bit and trying to find AE with +% INT or +% PD or a more useful SA like Super Vision.
