I know it's a can of worms that no one really wants to open, but if we limit it to team owners (or 1 GM if the owner doesn't do much) maybe it'll be a little more civilized. You guys up for it?

I know you're not going to get many votes off a 2-14 team, but I thought I'd point out that Izy Ostrowski (TE-Washington) is the 5th leading receiver in the conference.

He's 17th bro.

Edit: My bad, I was going by yards, not catches...

Well if I was forced to take one player from each team I might consider it, but check the stats on Erick and Tim compared to Izy.

Glassley has more yards on fewer receptions and 7 more TDs. Erick has fewer yards and was thrown to much less, but still has twice the amount of TDs. Plus if you want to factor in blocking, both of those guys had RBs go over 1k yards with 20+ TDs.

I'm not trying to say he doesn't belong in the discussion though. He had a good year from the looks of it.

I like to be inclusive of all guys because if situations were different, there'd be other dudes on the list. It doesn't matter how good a RB is, if he's playing for Tampa Bay with a bunch of level 16 linemen, he isn't going to get the stats to be on an all-pro list. Take a guy like Johnny Wallace from Nashville.. If he were on Chanhassen, and I wanted too, I could have got him 5,000 yards and 80 TDs.

When we're guaranteed 7-10 blowouts a year though, I feel it's necessary to spread out plays, and level 38, 39, 40 guys are going to have less of a role so the level 24, 25, and 26s behind them can grow too.

But all that said, it's pretty hard to give recognition to a guy that just didn't get it done, even if it isn't his fault.

My list is by no means a reflection on the ability of the player. Like you said, if you wanted to I'm sure Phil King would have had 10 more TDs, but it might have come at the expense of Erick or your RB.

All I did to make my list was look try to look objectively at the stats and determine who had the best season, and there were only a few obvious selections.

I'll give it a shot, but it makes me cringe since I hate leaving deserving people off the list, but I just don't have the time to review 500 different candidates.

(QB) patriot killer - Goshen Gippers
Real close with Zachary. I'd give a slight nod to patriot. Shaner Goss has probably been the most efficient QB, but he hasn't played enough to warrant serious consideration.

(HB) newengland killer - Goshen Gippers
He has it hands down stat-wise, but Matt Milligan and Barry2k8 are in the conversation in terms of talent/stats.

(FB) joe wilson - Thompson Hunters
If the only conversation were about lead blocking, I'd put up Renfroe, but I think you have to take into account running the ball, so Joe Wilson is my choice.

(WR) Nuokku Nuolis - Goshen Gippers
For my money, the best deep threat in BBB #16. His numbers halved this year, but it doesn't make him any less dangerous.

(WR) Michael Kaplan - Goshen Gippers
Stats were down for the Goshen WRs this year, but come playoffs, I think you'll see they have the best wide receivers in the league again. Mac Sweetness is pretty much right there as well.

(TE) Erick The Rope - Chanhassen Storm
He could make the list as a blocker or receiver, but if he specialized in one or the other, it'd be something to see. Given the sheer force of his levels for such a low league, even if his stats aren't where'd he like, I still have to give him the nod since he'd be my first pick if we were choosing TEs. He's worth the price of admission just by watching him bitch about a drop, as his bottom less catch rating keeps going up.

(G) Dexter Hall - Chanhassen Storm
I almost feel bad having him in this league.. 400 pancakes? But I love my RG.

(G) Joel Ericsson - Goshen Gippers
It's too hard to single out linemen, since who wants to watch footage of them just for an all pro post.. but this guy shut out Meet Wad on hurries/sacks and opened some holes, so he's going on my list. I also like Bubba Matthews.

(C) Primary Focus - Chanhassen Storm
He's been much better than I expected. Really glad to have him on the team. Expectations factored in, he's played the best on our offensive line.

(OT) Blyneside Perrtekta - Tijuana Gutter Bass
Gotta go with the man with the stats, fair or not.

(OT) Orlando McKinnie - Thompson Hunters
Gotta give some love to the small market. He didn't play as much as some other tackles, but he played well when he was in.

(DE) Demetrius Weezer - Tijuana Gutter Bass
He's going to be on every list. Nobody likes a dude with 120 sacks, it's so unrealistic, but he's gotta be the first guy you think of. He's been dominating the sack list since he first came in the league. I think he scared Mark Brooks into early retirement as the sack king of the BBB #16 west.

(DE) JesterX - Chanhassen Storm
He doesn't even start, so the least I can do is give one of the better sack guys in the league some love.. It's my vote, after all. What good would that be if I didn't abuse the privilege?

(DT) Meet Wad - Chanhassen Storm
Not only is he the one of the very best and oldest DTs in the league, (Been here with Chan since creation) he is hands down one of the best agents in the league. If you can get a guy like wrkarl on your roster, you do it and you keep him. Probably the strongest DT I've ever seen next to Deuce Mick, but he also gets sacks and hurries every season, DT pass rush nerf or not.

(DT) Death Plow - Tijuana Gutter Bass
Just the name alone is terrifying.

(LB) Pure Rage - Tijuana Gutter Bass
List has to start with this guy.

(LB) Wreak Havoc - Tijuana Gutter Bass
He does in fact wreak havoc.

(LB) Bert Da Man - Goshen Gippers
He's had a sack against pretty much everyone. Maybe it's more of a scheme thing, but a dude with 25 sacks at LB deserves to be on the list.

(CB) Buddy Jackson - Tijuana Gutter Bass
The first real shut down corner we've had in BBB #16. Buddy Jackson is the hardest CB in the league to score on, by far. He makes Hicky Heapphy look like Ney Fabiano. (OOO BURN!)

(CB) Paul Ivy - Chanhassen Storm
I had no idea how good this guy was going to be until he picked off his first pass, and then kept doing it just about every single game.

(FS) Ajani Akinnuoye-Agbaje - Chanhassen Storm
Yes, he's my own player.. but I'm comfortable with the choice. Level 39, 8 ints, 2 TFLs, 1 sack, 6 defensive TDs.. at FS, that's not bad.

(SS) Tarl Hubert - Chanhassen Storm
I've been holding him back for years. Just ask him.

Offensive MVP: (HB) patriot killer - Goshen Gippers
It always goes to the best teams QB right? Even if he doesn't capitalize his name and it drives my OCD nuts every time.

Defensive MVP: (CB) Demetrius Weezer - Tijuana Gutter Bass
There are 8 or 9 really, really good defensive players in this league, many of them on Tijuana, but the most consistent dominant force is Mr. Weezer.

Yeah, I know. I was agreeing with you in a round about sort of way. Phil's build was posted earlier I think, when he was available for trade (Surprisingly I didn't accept one of the ten or eleven level 19 CB and level 23 WR trades) and yeah I could probably get him 2000 yards and 30 TDs if I wanted too, but it'd probably have to be on 300 receptions. He's not exactly a deep threat. More of a blocking/receiving guy.

What, no love for ST's?

Gute Jong-iL for Punter. 44.8 yards per punt, highest in the Western Conference.

It's a sin I know.. but ST stats are pretty much dictated by the team you play on more than individual skill unfortunately.

Gute Jong even fills in for idiot kickers on occasion.
