Wit' or wit'out?

Well, I promise it'll be a better contest next season, but it's still enough to give me a couple chuckles.

Us Californians are so unfortunate. It's hard to find a good cheese steak, in fact i get them alot of places, but i know im missing out on what it really is.

Yup. Everywhere I've gone outside of the area, whatever was described as a "Philadelphia" cheesesteak was anything but...something like Steak-Umm and a crap roll.

I think you can get an approximation of the steak in some places, and whiz is whiz...but the secret is the bread. Not too many places have real, honest to God rolls for hoagies and steaks outside of Philly. If you don't know what I'm talking about, go down to Sarcone's in South Philly and then talk to me after that.

Amoroso rolls really are the shit.

And if your outside of the philadelphia area, look for a Jersey Mikes. It's the best and closest thing to a real philly cheesesteak. I'm orginaly from Darby (still have family there), i've been out of the area for nearly 15 years and i've finaly found a good cheesesteak. I'm in OKC now and i'll tell how authentic the jersey mikes cheesesteak is....they sell Tastykakes. Tastykakes in OKC, i've been in heaven.

Tastykake has gone national after they improved the preservatives. Used to be that they could only ship in a one day's drive radius, which pretty much meant Baltimore and New York at the most - not like New Yorkers had any idea that Tastykake kicks Hostess's ass up and down Main Street USA.

If they are not in your area yet they should be soon. Best thing outside of Philly

I guess you people like kinda dry, tasteless cheesesteaks which you need to wait on line for an hour to get.

Pats by FAR. They use the best steak to start, taste the best, and since they're cheesesteak nazi's when it comes to ordering, they move the line along fast.

I haven't tried Tony Luke's yet, but seriously, Jims? You people should be ashamed of yourselves.

Oh, and it's always whiz wit. No question there.

Scroll that map up about right between the middle of those red balloons, and there i sit. The question is, is it worth driving 2 hours to get one?;p
