1. Boston Nighthawks (15-0)
Defeated Bullets 54-34
Ranking: Unchanged (previous 1)

The Bullets might have found a crack in the armor. This might be the most studied game in the history of playoff coordination.

2. Detroit Demon Lions (13-2)
Defeated Madcats 77-7
Ranking: 0 (previous 2)

Only the Rage stands between DDL and the #2 seed in the playoffs.

3. Washington Bullets (11-4)
Lost to Boston 54-34
Ranking: 0 (previous 3)

Retains their #3 ranking with a solid showing vs. the Nighthawks. Might be a championship game darkhorse.

4. Philadelphia Pushovers (11-4)
Defeated Warpath 161-0
Ranking: +2 (previous 6)

Shouldn't have too much trouble vs. the Continentals next week to wrap up a home playoff game rematch vs. the resurgent Bullets.

5. Green Bay Maulers (10-5)
Lost to Pirates 31-23
Ranking: -1 (previous 4)

Lost a golden opportunity to host a home playoff game with a loss vs. the suddenly strong Pirates.

6. Cincinnati Shockers (11-4)
Beat Outkasts 213-0
Ranking: -1 (previous 5)

It's strange to see a team with a likely home playoff game ranked 3rd I know, but the Shockers have been playing well of late, just without the glamor wins. They'll get their chance in the playoffs.

7. Chicago Mustangs (9-6)
Defeated Rage 62-34
Ranking: 0 (previous 7)

Raise your hand if you saw Chicago with 9 wins a few weeks ago. Now everyone not named Tim Harper put your hands down. Including his multies (I'm just kidding Tim). A DDL vs. Mustangs rematch awaits in round 1, and the Mustangs played them tight in that game. Should be a good one.

8. Orlando Pirates (8-7)
Defeated Green Bay 31-23
Ranking: 0 (previous 8)

Clinched the last playoff spot with their huge win today. The Pirates are proving everyone wrong with their strong last season performance and might have the moxie to pull of the unthinkable vs. Boston.

9. Rhode Island Red Wolves (6-9)
Defeated Sin 23-16
Ranking: +2 (previous 11)

Everyone's favorite bridesmaid caught the bouquet vs. the Sin and spoiled their playoff dreams. The Wolves defense held the Sin to 200 yards and harassed both Sin QBs.

10. Doomsday Sin (7-8)
Lost to Wolves 23-16
Ranking: -1 (previous 9)

Couldn't seal the playoff deal vs. RI as their offense was shut down. Last game vs. the Mustangs can set the tone for next season.

11. Gridiron Rage (6-9)
Lost to Mustangs 62-34
Ranking: -1 (previous 10)

Disappointing season for the Rage, but they have tons of talent and will look to rebound in Season 7.

12. Kalamazoo Coyotes (6-9)
Defeated Continentals 41-27
Ranking: 0 (previous 12)

K-zoo showed alot of heart this season and no one doubts their ability to return to playoffs in Season 7.

The rest:

13. Philadelphia Continentals 3-12 (unch.)
14. Kentucky Madcats 2-13 (unch.)
15. D.C Warpath 2-13 (unch.)
16. Camden Outkasts 0-15 (unch.)

What about the 2 win cushion we have with 1 game to go?

I like your comment about the pirates. We have always kinda surged late. Been our thing since A#1. But this is a different kind of league. It would just be a sure fluke for us to take down the nighthawks

Wins vs. the Lions count twice.

Looks like we are locked into playing the Mustangs.

The likely playoff scenario is:

1 Boston vs. 8 Orlando
2 DDL vs. 7 Chicago
3 Shockers vs. 6 Maulers
4. Philly vs. 5 Bullets

And if I carried that out:

Boston over Orlando
DDL over Chicago
Maulers over Shockers
Philly over Bullets

DDL over Maulers
Boston over Philly

Boston over DDL (sorry my friend TSE).

Are we playing a football game with Boston or something else? If we are playing a football game, we will win it. They can only beat us as a one-trick pony at a horsey freak show competition.

Well, at the very least we'll get two attempts to keep the point differential within 50...

Unfortunately, this is GLB, which seldom represents "real" football.

However, I might suggest the old adage - if you cant' beat them, join them. If you can design a strategy that will work, I'd suggest you do it.

No, Pirates will sneak their way into the Super Bowl only to be handed a Crushing blow out defeat.

Remember, I called it.

We have to get there first. If we do, we will be ready on both sides of the ball.

I hope so. There isn't much to gain by watching this game, a quick look at the box score says it all.

How does Philly move up 2 and we drop one, even though we both beat gutted/underleveled teams and we have the H2H tiebreaker?
