The Oxford Eagles finally climb back to .500 with a 17-7 victory over the Paris Musketeers in the Western Europe Pro League. Rookie receiver K.K. Slider joined the team from the free agency shortly after the Eagles had lost five straight games (all were within seven points!)

Slider had 5 catches for 44.5 yards, including this amazing catch that was tipped by Musketeers' LE Marcus Rubio. http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=539742

Now the Eagles sit in 7th in the Zeta Conference, but are looking to climb the ladder to an even high level. The team is hoping their young WR corps is ready to go soon against the 4-6 Bristol Marauders.

Slider had this to say: "I was hoping to help my team out any way I can, and I'm glad I am being such a big part of the offense."

Slider also hopes to eventually move up on the depth chart as well. He's currently third behind starters Boom Dizzle and Hamasaki Ayumi.

"I don't need to start right now. I honestly don't think I'm ready yet. I get plenty of playing time when either starter needs to take a breather, as does the rest of the bench, and their advice is absolutely helpful on and off the field."

When asked if he'll finally score a touchdown next game, Slider said, "Who knows? If I have the ball in the end zone, then I guess that's a touchdown. Maybe I'll get one of those."
