Friend asked me to post this, as he wished to remain anonymous, and keep his build secret.

Strength: 80
Speed: 80
Agility: 50
Stamina: 31
Carrying: 30
Vision: 19
Confidence: 24

Power Tree: 3-5-2-1-1

Would you be surprised if I told you this HB has only broken 40 tackles all this season on over 250 carries?
Had 95 strength for over half of the games, but redid equipment for more speed.

To reach top end speed at any level, you need 2/3 the agility you have speed, AT LEAST. So of that 80 speed, he essentially is only using 75 of it because of his low agility.

What's his level?

That is absolute BS.

Really?

It's been proven AND announced on these forums multiple times.

Well then you should be able to show me the proof?

From my own experiences, players I've seen and experiments that people have done it is fact that speed is the ONLY attribute that affects top speed and acceleration. Agility does affect the speed lost in any change in direction however slight, but in a straight line agility does nothing.

That's just the easiest example to find.

Agility has ALWAYS been a large factor in determining acceleration.

He is between level 25 and 30.

That agility stuff is all hear-say. yes agility will make you accelerate/change direction faster, but it's not going to make you only run with only "X" speed if you don't have enough. And btw, 50/80 = 5/8 = .625 and 2/3 = .666 so I highly doubt that Agility being 4% off of the "optimal agility/speed ratio" is hardly his problem.

Not saying he isn't planning on increasing agility though. Says he wants to have it at the 2nd cap soon.

Lol, the skills guide! The skills guide also says that blocking helps defensive get off blocks, but many people have proven that to be false.

I'm sending you a PM so this thread doesn't get off topic.

Power Through maybe? I've noticed that some power HB's with less strength/carrying but more Power Through are breaking a lot more tackles than he does.

Granted he is usually playing against guys 4-12 levels higher. But even against teams his level he won't break but maybe 4 or 5 tackles a game.

I can attest to that first hand actually... I'll never get that half season of training back.

Yeah I think he should eventually work on Power Through but get Lower the Shoulder up first, the SAs are very important for a powerback. I'd also suggest getting Quick Cut up as it is the best SA for any HB with decent speed. Intense train carrying/confidence for the rest of this season and next.

Ya man Power thru needs to be upwards of 9 or 10. then he would be good to go. Maybe Agility up to the second cap eventually.

Definitely increase carrying and stamina. I would bet that he breaks more tackles in the first half then in the second half of the game.

This is patently false, and provably so if you want to take the time to look at the HTML source code underlying the replays and do some actual comparisons. Sorry.

Not too surprised, he is not a HB...he is just a really burly sprinter. You need a little more balance than that my friend.

That is a pretty fantastic build as far as straight power is concerned. Train Carrying/Confidence, and he needs like 4 more points in Power Through. I went to a 3-5-4-5-3 Power tree last season and broken almost 60 more tackles.
