Right so I have a level 40 HB, who is pretty much a beast. Only problem is he fumbles a lot.

He has over 80 in strength, 50 in carrying and 5 for cover up. I really have no idea what to do. He's running on power through as well, but I don't really want to switch to combo because apart from the fumbles there aren't many defences that can keep him at bay.

What's his agility and vision? Great agility and vision could help in preventing quality hits from the defense. Also, low confidence could be the culprit.

11 fumbles with 353 carries and running on power. Yeah you're going to fumble. But that's relatively low compared to your carries and running style. I know your fumbles would drop if you ran on combo though.

I have been trying the various running styles all season. Most of my fumbles came off power running.

with combo a little less, and elusive I don't think he fumbles at all.

i've got around 30 carrying, 3 cover up, and alot of strength... still, 7 fumbles in like 410 carries this year. its basically like 1 every other game, so i don't consider myself a "problem"

its the nature of power backs - if you want the contact , then your gonna get the ball hit out more.

My powerback has 3 fumbles in 639 career carries.

I've found confidence and stamina to be issues with a lot of fumblers. You'll see fumbles (key fumbles!) late in the 3rd or 4th. The only thing that has changed is how high your stamina and morale are at that point.

I definitely agree with this. Broken tackles will be down in the 3rd and 4th quarters also if stamina and morale are low.

That would be my logical conclusion as well. Either add another HB to the rotation permanently, or add one temporarily until you can get your stamina up (train it).

well thanks for the replies. First off, my stamina is one of the highest on the team I think, and most of the fumbles are in the first half of the game anyway so that's not the problem.

Speed and agility are around 61 and 57 respectively and confidence is about 35. So I guess confidence could be a bit better.

dude, try to put in more confidence, if your getting a mess of carries, its inevitable.

The more quality hits that your back takes, the more likely to fumble. This can be anything from a crappy o-line to a bunch of great LB's in your league.
