Hey . . . I have a Lvl. 9 SS (the build is open in my profile). Speed is softcapped, and I should have vision softcapped within the next two levels or so. I'm currently training agility and tackling, but I have a problem: agility isn't a major attribute.

So what do I do after capping vision? I was thinking second cap speed, but I don't know if it's wise to leave my agility that low--anyone been in a similar situation?

what i would've done probably is i wouldve been spending my SP on one skill at a time and just training ur final skill so by the time you get to it, it'll most likely be close to a soft cap, around 30-35.

You need to have agility.get it somewhere.

Sunshineman, I'm in the same boat with my lvl 3 SS and figuring out what the master plan is going to be.

UD, is definately right about agility, you won't be sucessful without agl. I guess it comes down to what you're team expects from you. To be productive soon, I would say you should soft cap agility next. If you're on a slow build team that isn't expecting to win, x2 cap spd next since the +.4 lvl bonus will be that much more valuable.

I'm considering leaving my guy, unboosted, in the D-leagues for another year just so I can get the max out of his low level training and leveling with out feeling like I'm letting a real team down.

The problem is I'm probably going to end up playing on a capped team where I'm not going to have the luxury of ignoring my agility for my player's overall benefit. Thanks for the advice--I'm going to softcap agility after I'm done with vision. Hopefully it won't cost me too much in wasted leveling.

Sounds like a good idea Dudley--although if you can find a slowbuild team for him it might be even better.

i think a FS can get away with lower AGI for a little while (in a capped league), but, for a SS, it really depends on the scheme. in a cover 1, the lack of agility will hurt more. in a cover 2, he can probably get away with it for a little bit.

of course, in this game, cover 2 us about as useful as a poopy flavored lollipop, imo, so i'd say go ahead and softcap agililty.

Gotta love the dodgeball reference.

You need to get agility up now. Its one of my most important stats in the game, especially to SS's.

Agility isn't a major attribute? I beg to differ. FS's are all about reading plays, speed, changing direction, and acceleration. Otherwise all these speed backs will just run around you.

As for the Cover 2 comment. It's better than you think.

It's not a major attribute in that it does not receive .4 points per level bonus.

It's importance is major, but it is not a "major" attribute.

SS:
Majors: Speed, Vision, Strength, Tackling, Stamina
Minors: Agility, Confidence, Jumping, Catching, Blocking, Carrying

Majors get 2 points divided amongst them per level
Minors get 1 point divided amongst them per level

In the case of a SS, that's .4 for majors, .16 for minors.

Generally, people advise to increase to the soft cap your most important "major" attributes first, to benefit from the level bonuses; then work on your most important "minors".

To the OP, I did this with my SS:

60 speed, 60 vision, strength to 48 now getting agility to 60. His agility is much lower than speed, but it's getting closer, and I haven't found his lack of agility to be a major detriment. Maybe 60 vision compensates for this...

Yeah, I'm probably to have around 50 vision (w/equip) and 55 speed when I have to decide. I'm going to softcap agility just because it's more important than tackling or strength . . . the one or two lost attribute points shouldn't be too big a deal.

Yeah, I agree, I've just found that slow-build teams are always so swamped with applications and all the players kind of look the same at the low lvls so the vetting process isn't easy.

I'm thinking I'll just D-league it unboosted and try and find a capped human team next season. By that time, my players build should shine a bit more.
