Are there even any in GLB?

With the FB1 and FB2 slots now, I think it could be a viable option to have an elusive rushing/receiving FB.

I've decided to build one who's gonna have 90+ speed (possibly 100) and 60 agility. I think he'd be a great threat since FB handoffs are a lot faster than HB plays so he'd be through the line a lot quicker given the defense less time to react. He'd also be a good receiver since the FB is usually uncovered and he'd be faster than most LBs who may try to cover him.

I'm sure there are some, and I even have one who'll be about 85 SPD, 68 AGL at start of next season with a 13% fake chance AE. He's done decently over his career, but doesn't get many touches.

Problems:

- Typically there are already not enough balls to go around in offenses where the FB just run blocks

- Blocking FBs can get bored and either leave the team in search of touches, retire, or go inactive. Guess who will get more blocking duties when this happens.

- As a FB you are usually tabbed for ST duties given that you have decent STR, AGIL, BLK, SPD compared to other positions.

- Many of the FB pass plays give him the ball in a place where it is easy to fail. The exception seems to be a wheel type route, where the FB can get some big gains if the QB waits until the FB is wide and a few yards down field.

- I did much better running the ball from the HB position compared to the FB runs.

I am creating a speed based lead blocking FB

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=951364

I have 66sp held up now. I am waiting to get strength and speed to 25 before dumping them. I will get strength to 50 and speed to 50 with equipment it will bring speed around 64-67 at that point. I will then 2nd cap agility.

I am hoping he is the cure for the speed backs who outrun their fbs. But yes I guess you could see him as elusive FB.

a balanced TE with soft capped strength, catch, speed and agility playing at FB2 slot would be more viable.

for a rushing FB, don't expect much touches of the ball. but i would rather go for a powerback style than elusive as speed doesn't increase per level (its not even a minor skill unlike tackle - go figure)

what i do with my FBs is to 3rd cap str and agi - i think you know about my lead blocker lol) and put all EQ into speed, whilst training speed and stamina on intense.
