1) San Antonio – (12-1) – PRV 2 –The Heat knocked off South Texas in overtime to take back the #1 ranking they held earlier this season. If the Heat can get by Riverhead tonight the #1 seed is theirs.

2) South Texas – (12-1) – PRV 1 – South Texas finally tastes defeat, a loss to Riverhead could cost them the 2 seed so the rattlesnakes need to finish strong.

3) L.A. – (11-2) – PRV 3 – Should win out, will be hoping for a loss from San Antonio to move up, LA would lose the tie breaker with STR.

4) Riverhead – (11-2) - PRV 4 – Riverhead can do the most damage. They have San Antonio & South Texas on the schedule & a sweep would give them the 1 seed through a series of tiebreakers.

5) Lynchburg – (10-3) – PRV 5 – The lightning are riding a 5 game win streak that should extend to 8 before the playoffs start. They still need help to get a home playoff game.

6) Dayton – (9-4) – PRV 6 - The Devil Dogs are rolling & Gotham is the only playoff team left on their schedule. I like the Dogs in this one & pretty much locks them in as the 6th seed in the playoffs.

7) Gotham – (9-4) – PRV 7 – If the Crusaders can score an upset against either Dayton or L.A. teams will be scrambling to avoid a matchup with them in the first round of the playoffs.

8) Minnesota – (8-5) – PRV 8 – Must beat Nic Cage to hold on to the 8th seed.

Game of the Week
Riverhead vs. San Antonio

I think the west is going to dominate in the playoffs. The East have Yancy St ranked #1 and we beat them twice this season. We barely compete with the top six in our conference. Hmmmm

that may be true, but im not so sure. rochester and florida or tough. and i know as the 8 seed in the east we would DOMINATE the 8 seed in the west. and yes thats me throwin down the gauntlet to nic cage.

is there any league where some of the west if not all don't think they're better than the east lol besides sometimes its just a matter of strengths and weaknesses matching up poorly for one side and yancy are only rank 1 in the east in the power rankings anyway which is an opinion really.

u guys have quite a few strong teams but on the other end of the scale west's weakest teams are much weaker than the east's weakest teams for example our weakest team (a CPU team) scored their most points in a match so far this season against south texas rattlesnakes the rank 1 team in the west so quite clearly u cant judge a team by its start to the season.

the championship game should be interesting, from our side it'll be either yancy, reno, rochester or florida and yancy have gotten stronger since the start of the season it should be a good match whoever makes it but ur teams do on average out level ours so im just hoping our teams builds are better and have better game plans

Ya to be honest with you I was quite surprised we beat Yancy. Mind you both games were very close and in fact it would have gone to OT if we didn't hit a 49.5 yd FG with 1 second on the clock. I guess my point was that we can compete with the top teams in the east but really haven't done much against the top west teams.
We new coming into this league that there were a few good teams but I don't think we were truly prepared for how many really good teams there are in this league. I can honestly say I think there are 10-11 very good teams in a seperate league and then there are a few of us that try week in and week out and compete. But like you said there are some bottom teams that give the others a breather. We came from a league where we got pounded and I can tell you it isn't my idea of fun. I try to keep those guys spirits up as I know what it is like to work your butt off only to get trounced for your efforts.

well if you looked at how they scored their points it was from our DC calling an 11 man blitz so the offense would score everytime our defense did this, it wasnt from the weakest team actually playing their best game against the West's number 1 it was from our DC being a retard

yeh fair enough but u guys did well against San Antonio Heat u just got unlucky in the 3rd quarter but i agree, getting killed all the time isn't good for the teams future. a lot of teams fall apart just coz they're in a league that out levels them where as they could be a great team for their level. that last second FG was great im sure it was a frustrating loss for yancy but even they have to admit that is a perfect pressure filled ending (if it was a real-time match)

Ptery916 i wasn't really referring to STR's defensive abilities or hartford having their best game. i was trying to make the point of the beginning of the season isn't the same as the end of the season, regardless of the reasons why they scored 30 points obviously judging ur teams defensive strength from that match would be stupid u guys are obviously much better than that.

Edit: u guys had a pretty damn close game against LA so id say u can compete with the top teams pretty well

LOL We held Dayton down to a reasonable showing but I too was surprised at the close match with Looters. I don't think we're under the radar anymore....

Your on the money with your comment about the teams aren't the same at the end of the season as they are at the begining. Last year our morale, no matter how we felt in real life, sucked the bag towards the end of the season. Morale plays a big factor as does chemistry. I just wish I knew the mathematical equation involved so I could put my mind at ease.

Maybe an upset is in the works come playoffs! I should start a thread about how our team royally sucks so that whoever we meet takes us lightly.... LOL

yeh the unknown factors are hard to base strategies around since u might have come up with a good strategy against an opponent but due to low morale it failed and then u end up trying something worse in the play offs or something.

in my experience the teams that should win never win the play offs lol underdogs are loved in GLB and im hoping that works for my team as well lol i should be playing in the USA pro leagues now but my team kept getting screwed in the play off's and losing to a weaker team by like 1 point and we eventually collapsed lol so u never know both our teams might make it to the championship game

I have to ask you Whitesquall.... what's with the section 242-248 of your stadium build all about LOL

I hope you're onto something about upsets in the playoffs as we haven't been able to upset guys this year.
