Basically, which equipment would you equip for your pocket QB?

+5 Throwing

or

+3 Throwing
9% Pass quality

How much do you think the percentage equates to one skill point?

i would go AEQ. There is no way to truly know, but I have a least 1 piece of AEQ on all my players.

It should be noted that I read something from Bort that said the % in AEQ weren't straight 9%. Like of % catching, lets say you have a 5% catching item. It's not a straight 5% better chance of catch. There is a pass that your player has a base 60% chance of catching when accounting attributes and AIs and such. It's 5% of the 60%, which makes it a 63% chance you will catch it.

As for pass quality, I have no clue what it actually does. I would imagine it works much like Tight Spiral does, easier for a WR to catch, harder for a DB to intercept.

To really know we would have to know what exactly throwing does and what exactly pass quality does and what their relationship between each other is. It would be kind of stupid if pass quality did exactly what throwing does, so pass quality has to be in some way a combination of 2 or more attributes, so that is why I tend to think the AEQ is better as it's a combination of attributes.

That last paragraph is a great point. Logically, in order to have a quality pass, you'd need strength, the ability to actually throw, and agility; at the very least. So, you are likely right with the likelihood of it encompassing a host of skills.

same with the % make tackle. We do know that tackling and strength at the very least are responsible for making the tackle, so % make tackle is some way has to be a combination of strength, tackling and whatever else is responsible for tackling.
