I recently took my SS's vision from 40 to the soft cap and have seen an improvement in coverage and reaction time to the play, I definately plan on taking it higher.

Only area I'm not happy about is special teams, and I'm curious if any other SS agents have noticed something similar.

My guy used to fly down the field in a straight line, bounce off a blocker, and normally make the play cause he was first to the ball carrier. Since I capped vis, it seems that Jeffery Lee Pierce is over thinking things or over reacting to jukes, effectively taking himself out of the plays.

He's lvl 25, with 77.6 sp & 52 ag and was dominate on special teams untill this last game.

Are there more instances of this? Or did you only notice this in one game? I've seen different players do well on special teams on different days. I don't think it has anything to do with your raising your vision. I do think you will do better on special teams if you keep raising speed. Your speed is low for ST.

I have a SS that did the same a few days ago (posted in the bugs forum but on response)...except his vision is below 20

I am starting to see my SS producing less tackles on special teams too. My vision is second capped and I am in the same situation. I used to be the the first guy there and usually make the tackle. What I think our safeties are doing now is staying in their lanes preventing a big play from happening since they have adequate vision. I'm fine with that as long as my teammates make the play .

I first noticed it in the game directely following the vision boost, which is why I posted. These two examples aren't as dramatic but are from the next game (against a team that out ranked us by a large margine). He's still "overthinking" routes and stopping, or running directely into a blocker for no apparent reason.

It just seems like his former "cannonball" aproach to special teams was more effective, and that he's moved away from it since the vision boost.

I'm just curious, my SS starts for his team so STs isn't his bread and butter, I just thought it was a bit odd and wanted to see if anyone else had experienced a similar occurance.

Funny, we were writing at the same time.

I think you're right about the staying in the lanes for the benifit of the team, which I'm fine with as well. I will admit a little frustration, since STs is so draining on a player, I worry it takes away from my guys "normal" playmaking. So, if I'm just playing containment I start to think that someone else could do that role and allow my guy to specialize on run stuffing and pass defelections for the D.

Happy to send my build for discussion and comparison, pm'ing you now.

Yeah this is pretty interesting. Wonder if any more players are experiencing this when they soft capped vision
