Some nice games tonight, even with the lower tier of the league -
Jumbo Jets vs State of Texas - At least the Jets are putting forth a visible effort. If they can stick it out another season or two they could be the next Houghton. I say the Jets put up a nice win here, 45-10
South Texas vs Gulf State - the season is over for Gulf State with Texas, Akron and Texas on the schedule. They're poised for a championship run, but first they have some serious stat padding to do. Gulf State 255+, Texas 0
SWBM vs K&B - This will be a great game in season 8, assuming Scranton is still here to play it. This season, not so much. K&B still scores, but so does Scranton. SWBM 135, K&B 14
Michigan Rage vs Detroit Outlaws - the season is winding down for Detroit and it's been a forgettable one. They're looking at 6-10 on the year, but the good news is this will be win #6. Detroit 63, Michigan 14
Miami vs Miami - I always have trouble following the play-by-play for this game. This is the game of the day, and one where the Makos are looking for a little revenge. After the Makos dominated the series thru the first three seasons in some close fought games, the Hammerheads took out some frustration last season in the most lopsided score to date. Now, both teams are tied in the standing at 11-2 each, and the #2 seed is on the line here. The Makos look to have improved, but count on ron2288 to have a surprise up his sleeve for this game. Makos lose a close one, 20-21
Memphis Showboats vs Vice City - well, Memphis crossed the Mason-Dixon line with a nice win against me (bastards), but Vice City puts up more of a challenge defensively for the Showboats. They put up more points against Gulf State than anyone else and haven't had trouble scoring against anyone north of Miami. That trend will continue here, Vice City takes it 35-24
Houghton vs Akron - Houghton gets a two game break to prepare for Miami. Gremlins win 70-10
