The way the SA reads, it should work.... However, not all SA's actually work so I am not too-sure if this would..? You would THINK that break-thru would be good for LDE's... since they get double-teamed so much.

it wouldnt be completely absurd
if a DE gets double teamed, it's usually a FB+OT or TE+OT
if an NT gets double teamed, it's usually a C+G
i would guess that you actually have a chance to break through in the DE's matchup, whereas the boost is probably negligible on a the NT that's facing a center and guard. especially if the TE or FB isnt specced heavily for blocking

good theory, but i don't know if i'd trust it. after seeing my DT get nowhere with it i'm very skeptical. there are so many better SA's for DE's anyways (TV, FS, ShedBlock) that i wouldn't take the risk

Most DEs don't have the right skill set to make use of Breakthrough.

Lots of bad-assness and very little weak sauce
My advice is that if your NT can occasionally perform break-throughs against equal competition, then it is worth investing in break-through if you would like to see more of that happening.
If you don't have a build that can ever break-through against equal opposition, you are probably wasting points on it.
Even if you do "qualify," break-through is often not your best investment...I am just pointing out that it is not as worthless as some folks claim.
