1. Boston Nighthawks (12-0)
Defeated Outkasts 255-0
Ranking: Unchanged (previous 1)

Nighthawks over the local junior varsity.

2. Detroit Demon Lions (10-2)
Defeated Pushovers 27-21
Ranking: +1 (previous 3)

Pulled it out at the end with a late INT. Always one of the games of the season between these two great teams.

3. Philadelphia Pushovers (10-2)
Lost to DDL 27-21
Ranking: -1 (previous 2)

Couldn't take advantage of a chance to win at the end, but still one of the premier East teams.

4. Washington Bullets (10-2)
Defeated Rage 28-20
Ranking: +2 (previous 6)

No more ignoring this team. They have won four straight but face a test from DDL and Boston in the next three games with a home playoff game on the line.

5. Green Bay Maulers (9-3)
Defeated K-zoo 41-33
Ranking: -1 (previous 4)

Dropping a slot is more of a recognition of the Bullets recent efforts than anything negative on the part of Green Bay. They'll get their shot to prove they are better in two games but have to get through Philly first.

6. Cincinnati Shockers (8-4)
Lost to Mustangs 34-17
Ranking: -1 (previous 5)

Shockers did everything but win the game vs. Chicago. But the worst sin is letting Vick beat them, which he did with three TD passes in only 8 completions.

7. Chicago Mustangs (6-6)
Defeated Shockers 34-17
Ranking: 0 (previous 7)

The win was ugly, but the team is winning. Haahpaah keeps finding a way to win and is sitting pretty for a playoff spot.

8. Orlando Pirates (6-6)
Defeated Madcats 49-13
Ranking: 0 (previous 8)

Nice win vs. the overmatched Madcats, but this could very well be Orlando's final win of the season with a brutal schedule the next four weeks.

9. Doomsday Sin (6-6)
Defeated Warpath 229-0
Ranking: 0 (previous 9)

Doomsday has a much better road to the playoffs than Orlando and will likely take the last seed.

10. Rhode Island Red Wolves (5-7)
Defeated Continentals 69-41
Ranking: +1 (previous 11)

After returning control of the offense to the owner, the Wolves have been rolling offensively the past two weeks, but stout competition comes the rest of the way, especially vs. the Shockers next game.

11. Gridiron Rage (5-7)
Lost to Bullets 28-21
Ranking: -1 (previous 10)

The Rage seem to be relying less and less on Gallo and it might be hurting them.

12. Kalamazoo Coyotes (4-8)
Lost to Maulers 41-33
Ranking: 0 (previous 12)

Took a very good Green Bay team into the 4th quarter but couldn't close them out.

The rest:

13. Philadelphia Continentals 2-10 (unch.)
14. Kentucky Madcats 2-10 (unch.)
15. Camden Outkasts 0-12 (+1)
16. D.C Warpath 1-11 (-1)

Yup, couldn't argue with that change, it was a close game, I thought we might be able to pull it out, then threw a pick at the worst possible time.

Great write-up, as always.

This game had me extremely nervous. The Yotes have been doing nothing but getting better and better with each passing week. I was thankful as hell to come away with the W. I understand why they're ranked where they are, but see them as a very serious contender next season, and pity any team that takes them lightly for the rest of this one. At the VERY worst, they're a currently a middle of the pack team.

I agree, their ranking is simply a result of H2H of the teams above them. Orlando would probably be ranked lower than they are right now, but I can't justify putting teams with worse records who they have beaten above them.

Your exactly right, the win was ugly. We won the turnover game though.

Pirates are optimistic about their schedule, but we really shouldn't be.

Your only potential win is vs. the Rage, but I think they've got you. Your back end schedule is brutal.
