i saw absolutely no benefit. I tried one game to set the favorite target as Te to take advantage of a team that played nothing but cover 2, and he didn't throw to the TE anymore than usual, but just held on to the ball until I was sacked. Never did it again.
I find it useful to have a number 2 favorite WR set. That way if someone is open he throws it to them, but it makes the check down be my choice. I usually choose it by match up, but it tends to be our 3rd string WR because he plays a bad CB on most passing plays
When I had a stud TE that could catch the ball everytime in triple coverage we rode him to a championship by setting him as my QB's favorite. He put up 1200 yards or soemthing like that in the playoffs.
Now that TEs have been Borted, fave target doesn't work as well.
I've played around with the option in the past and I found that if I set a primary target my QB tried to force the ball to him too often and it resulted in more INTs. I switched to a secondary target and had much better results although it wasn't ever consistent. Just like everything else in GLB this option doesn't exactly work as intended.
I've had it set for the last season and a half. I didn't notice a spike in ints.
I did turn it off a couple of games ago and the only difference I noticed is the WR that was the #1 doesn't get thrown to as much - obviously. In my opinion though, I never saw any disadvantage to having it on.

if you set a secondary target only, say a TE, what do you do with the HB/FB dump? is it better to set never/sometimes/or often? is it better to have more options or simplify?
