I need help with this one. I had a Cover 0 M2M d playing against 3WRs. The WR1 picks off all four defenders with a quick slant and the WR3 takes a screen around the end for big gains.

How do you keep this from happening?

Rock face like my LB did there.

How do you get the LB to cover the WR? 4-3, C1, with both FS and SS blitzing?

Looks like that's what it was. I don't really suggest it though unless your ROLB is pretty fast. Which mine isn't, so anywhere else and that play could have been ugly.

4-3 C2 would probably work against 3 WR sets as well though, and the LB would have cover over the top, but it would leave you pretty damn vulnerable to the single-back run that people like to use.

Yeah, it's risky for sure. But, I've just been seeing the WR screen play become the meat and potatoes play for SO many offenses that it's quickly becoming a bit ridiculous, IMO.

Covering a WR with LB is generally a bad idea, but in a short yardage situation you would probably be fine, but if the WR has room to run his route you are going to be toast.
