Thanks to borts generous gift of 100 FP, I can make my WR! Now, Im not going to try to see what happened to my punter happen (Who finished his D-League run at level 10 and I cant find a team for peanuts) What would be the best time to make a player and to get him as high leveled as possible without boosting.

Given that he had to wait for a free gift of flex to make another player, I suspect he isn't boosting.
If you are boosting, then there is a debate whether to make the player just before the season ends or during the pre-season.

I was thinking the preseason is the time to make it - why make one now, boost at the end of the season from level 4-7 or whatever when you could just get the full ten next season.
Are there any good threads you could point me to going over the pros and cons?

Let's see...
-Players don't have custom equipment
-Players are outleveled (a player created in the midst of season 2 should be at least Lv 30 by now w/ boosting, even if they haven't started a game before)

I'm not saying that a player wouldn't ultimately be a stud with or without boosting. My question is this: If you're the type of agent who buys custom equipment and boosts each of your players three times during the season (last day of the season for any I'm slow building), is there an advantage to starting one in the pre-season, or is the middle of the season as good a time as any?

I started my two safeties at the end of last season. I'm pretty happy that I did, since it gave me lots of time to train and get my stats up before putting points in them.

Did you boost them at the end of last season?

It's giving me a headache, and I still don't have an answer. I think starting as early as possible in the pre-season is the best option - basically the day after the last day you can boost. That way you'll have the longest time on the D-league, and won't have to do your 3X boost until you're at the highest possible level.
Of course, I want to create one now.
That damn FP sale has FP burning a hole in my pocket.

Yes, I follow that logic. But he's not going to boost. He's giddy about 100 free flex points which is obviously someone not buying flex. How is he going to afford boosting a WR with 100 free flex every 45 days?
He's already created him so I'll just grab the aspirin now and save myself any further damage.

Right, I was hoping to hijack this thread into a discussion about when is the best time to build one if you're willing to buy FP.

That is the question that is more interesting. At the end of a season and boost immediately, or at the start of the next and waiting to boost.
I suppose it depends on 2 things-
1) Whether a player's attributes start to decline 10 seasons after the one he was created, so a player created day 1 and a player created day 40 start to decline at the same time, or whether the attributes decline exactly 10 seasons later to the day he was created.
2) How easy it is to get lvl 1 players onto D league teams which get sufficient playing time to get max xp. (For example, you could sign to a team and then a few days later a lvl 4 could sign who has already boosted for the season).
I too have xp burning a hole, and currently plan to create 3 players all the same the next pre-season, send them to D-leagues and then at the end of the season boost and give CE to the one that has progressed the most levels, and retire the other two. (Or if I am unsure about how it will go, retire one at the end of the first season, retire another at the end of season 2, and then keep and give CE to the best one of the trio). This seems to me to be the best way to have a decent player who you can use for the full 10 seasons.
