For play distance on outside runs, does it mean how far wide the run will go:

short - off tackle/TE
medium - roughly half way between tackle and sideline
long - sideline

also, if this the case, for play distance on inside runs, does it mean how far wide the run will go:

short - off center
medium - off guard
long - off tackle

or does it have no real baring on the run play and is more for passing play depth?

Play distance has NO effect on runs it is only used for passing plays and how deep you want them to be.
