Im a new DC, that's been trying to create a working Defense. And something hit me after the last match....

The link that get's you to the list of offensive plays currently in the game's playbook, is not complete. Some plays are missing.

How can I as a DC, create a Defense when I do not know what the Offense can throw at me? Since this is not real Football, and I am limited to the games Simulation and AI. So is this simply a pure guessing game.

Are there something I have missed completely, or does the offense just have this great advantage. Because I see this as pretty difficult unless I can see what options the offense have!?

Is this possible through the Offense AI?

I'm pretty sure that the offensive playbook is complete. I haven't seen a play yet that wasn't in there.

But yes the offensive does have a bit of advantage whereas last year the defensive side had a huge advantage. What my DC has done this year is simplify it some. I know a lot of his inputs now have to do with down and distance vice a specific offensive formation.

Well the First play of the match was a Pitch to the outside. Nothing wrong with that.

But if I'm not mistaken that is a Strong I, with a pitch to the right. Have not seen that in the playbook. So im wondering what else is not revealed?

In the playbook on runs to the outside using the I formations there's:

I Pitch Weak (I) (pitch left)

Power Toss Right (Weak I) (pitch right, but in the Weak I formation)

HB Sweep (I) (pitch Right, but from the I formation)

HB Off Tackle (Strong I) (a run right, but not a pitch)

Is it possible to mix the plays around as they see fit, cause then I know Im screwed big time.

Ok, on the Wiki Page there's a playbook called Seano's playbook.

A lot more plays are seen here. Is that the more Official playbook? Why isn't there an updated official Playbook?

That playbook (Seano's) has been made from the plays available from the Offensive AI pages. It isn't official, but Borts playbook is still outdated (I believe).

You could ask for access to the offensive tactics on the team you GM just so you
can see the playbook

Allready have..... Seems the only way to get the correct info.

I downloaded all the pictures of the plays, renamed them, and set up a folder system to easily locate them by formation and play type. Works good for finding those play calls fast.

Thanks, that will help. I switched to using the defensive pre-sets a couple games ago, and they just got murdered by a bunch of plays I had never seen. Guess I get to overhaul the Defensive AI once again.

Thanks, that will help. I switched to using the defensive pre-sets a couple games ago, and they just got murdered by a bunch of plays I had never seen. Guess I get to overhaul the Defensive AI once again.

They're only worth it in certain situations, and most of them suck. For example, I use engage 8 if theyre near my goalline but not in a goalline formation.

That's ballsy. Effectively a Cover 3 at the Goal line. Sure, you're engaging 8, but a quick pass seals the deal.
