Has anyone built a player to test how much carrying helps with breaking tackles? Is it better to have a slowpoke that defensive players can line up and get a straight on hit with high carrying or a guy that's a harder target with lower carrying as far as powerbacks go?

Short answer: Slow is bad. Even if you have 66% chance to break tackles for some obscene reason, you will still fail 33% of the time. The more people to hit you, the more chances you have of being tackled. Be faster.

I'd say the speedier version. If nothing else it lets you start running again after you break a tackle. If your guy is too slow, it doesn't matter how many tackles you break he'll stay in the same spot.

Id say only raise carrying when you fumble a bit more than you normally do

Tough question because the faster you are, the higher your carrying needs to be because of the high speed collisions. Slowpokes tend to have high strength so high carrying isn't as important. I'd definitely go with the faster player though if I had to pick.
