Or outrageous? he averages atleast 7 PDs a game...Just wondering what the normal rate for a CB is, prior to this seaosn he's played 16 games the past two seasons and had more PDs in one game this season than he had in either of those two season combined.

here's the build. only 2 INTs as well out of those 55 PDs..but 1 did go for a TD =)

That's a little outrageous even by GLB standards. My CB had 58 all of last season and won the PD Gold Trophy. (the #2 CB on the team ended up with 44 and a Silver Trophy)

yea thats a lot. from what ive seen most good corners dont even get thrown at, so they produce very few stats. but then theres others, who get throw on regardless and put up big numbers. i remember there was this one guy in like season 3 or 4, who had over a 100 tackles, but like 90 pd's and over 20 ints's. he played on medium to bait the QB.

i have his tactics set on go for the interception frequently and stick to your man like glue. like this past game..he had 18 PDs and now has 73 total.

yeah i thought so..may just be the league IDK but at this rate he'll have over 120 PDs on the year lol.

yeah PDs are def up this season. my guy has 68 now (already a career high), and 2 other CBs (i'm in 3rd) in my league have in the 80s. i also think INTs are coming a bit easier this season.

yeah I was just wondering if my stat was out of the ordinary or if people were getting the same results..but it looks like people are.

One thing to take into consideration is that this season, the pass is king. People are passing WAY more than the last couple of seasons. It was all power HB's runs, rushing to the outside from the Strong-I and all that silliness last season.

All of the passing / pass defense related stats are going to be inflated for a bit, a few oversights on Bort's part will be resolved sometime probably toward the end of the season, and it'll balance itself back out too.

Nature of GLB.

I have to think it's because there is almost no such thing as an incomplete pass anymore. It's almost always a catch, drop, PD, or INT.

I had one guy with 104 PD's last year, he is on pace for roughly the same this year..maybe a little less as he seems to be getting more picks. I have another guy with 53 in 7 games, but I think he had 23 against a gutjob.

Yeah people are getting a bunch this season. I'm thinking the main reasons are:

1) Most CB's Lvl 32+ have ~ capped jumping and a few points in swat ball, while many WR's often neglect jumping to pump that speed.

2) This is probably a more valid reason that I didn't think of until today. Obviously last year DE's and pass rushing were out of control, thus resulting in more un-catchable passes (incomplete without a PD or Drop). Now that Bort has changed OT pathing and allowed the option to keep in the FB, HB, or TE to block however, teams are getting less pressure and thus more accurate passes. These passes may not always result in more catches for the offense though, as if the CB has a big edge in jumping he will be racking up the PD's.

Bort tweaked something to make PDs much, much more likely.

Remember, on aggressive coverage we're supposed to have a penalty to getting the PD... And people are using that setting to rack up insane PD numbers.
