1. Florida 7-0. Another week, another dominating performance by Florida. They have steam rolled everybody and have a couple easy games next until they face off with the Alexanders and undefeated Rochester.

2. Rochester 7-0. After defeating Reno in another high scoring shootout, Rochester has cemented its status asone of the conference crown contenders, though in their history they have yet to beat Florida.

3. Yancy Street 6-1. A blowout win against the Punishers keps them securely at #3.They have a big matchup next week against the scrappy Bronx, and the Black Flag always brings its best when they play the best.

4. Reno 4-3. Back to back losses to the top 2 teams has left this team reeling and searching for answers. They are going to have to prove they can step up and play well enough to win big games and not just be able to beat mid tier teams. They'll bounce back against Orlando and the Hustlers and then have a showdown with #3 Yancy.

5. Bronx 4-3. Bronx climbed north of .500 witha beatdown of the Hustlers. They have a huge matchup next week against the Reapers. Bronx could secure atop 4 spot in the rankings with a win next week.

6. Teikoku 4-3. The Alexanders have resurrected their season with 4 wins in a row after a thrashing of the Grumpy Knights. They will likely win their next 2 and be 6-3 when they host Florida in a huge game.

7. Port Moody 5-2. Another impressive display by Port Moody who would be moving up in the rankings if everybody above them stopped winning. As of today they have usurped the #4 seed and home playoff game from Reno. They will have to play inspired ball if they want to hang onto it for the long run as they have a brutal schedule with remaining games against Bronx, Reno, Florida and Rochester.

8. Thundertown 5-2. Thundertown staves off dropping out of the rankings with a win against Orlando, a game that likely put the final nail in the coffin of Orlando's season. They have a bye week next week and then have huge games against Yancy and Port Moody, 2 games that could flip the playoff seeding picture upside down if the Bralwers can pull off a couple upsets.

Still have The Eye of The Tiger:

Victoria 3-4. Lost big to a stellar Yancy squad. Other than a game with Reno....the worst is behind them.

On Life Support:

Atlanta 2-5. With a tough remianing schedule, it's about time to put these Dogs down.

Orlando Soul 2-5. Despite their name, they play with none and will need more than soul to turn things around.

DOA:

Niagara 2-5
Grumpy Knights 1-6
Emmaus 1-6
Orleans 0-7
Hartford 0-7

Move along......nothing to see here. Literally.

Game of the Week: 6-1 Yancy Street Grim Reapers at 4-3 Bronx Black Flag

Yancy rolls into the mosh pit with a head full of steam and momentum on their side. Bronx has at times looked like a team ready to unseat the elite, and at other times like just another mid level team. Bronx is going to need to put together a great gameplan and put forth an inspired effort to unhorse a surging Reaper team.

Prediction: Yancy is too good to lose right now. Yancy 48 Bronx 31

GJ with the rankings.

Atlanta is admittedly in a tough spot, look for us to come out shooting next season. Still those that were here from last season have to admit we've made marked improvement from the abomination that was the Washington Apocalypse.

We can at least win games, and not get totally dominated. A few more acquisitions and we'll be showing marked improvement.

If anybody is a believer of turning a team around it's me. I got to Rochester when we were 1-9, finished 1-15. 6-10 the next season, 12-4 the next and now 7-0.

Takes time and hard work but it looks like you guys are moving in the right direction for sure.

Yep sometimes it takes time. Which is why I don't understand why many give up and sell their team back in 2 seasons

Yancy Street History.

Season 2: 0-16
Season 3: 5-11
Season 4: 7-9
Season 5: 8-8
Season 6: 6-1

I give credit to our squad who has stuck with us for quite some time now.

I agree with you guys. Since becoming the owner of Teikoku in season 4 our record has been.

Season 4: 2-14
Season 5: 4-12
Season 6: 4-3

I think when people play GLB they think they're playing Madden and can win the superbowl every season. One of the reasons I'm cracked out addicted to this game is that it's damn hard to build a winning team and keep them winning. And I like that! I got tied of winning 15 super bowls in a row.

Turning a losing team around is no small task, but it's damn fun when you put in the time and effort and finally get it turned around. 2 seasons isn't going to gt it done in most cases, it takes time. When you got a group of guys together, keep em together and keep making improvements.

If you look at the trend with all the teams, Rochester, Yancy, Teikoku.....it takes a good 3-4 seaons to get a team, especially one that has been losing, turned around. And now look where they are......season 4.....all had a losing record.....this season......3 of the top 5 or 6 teams.

I've always stressed to the guys on Rochester that if you keep the team together, YOU WILL get the team turned around. And they all believed we could do it, and we did it. Continuity with not only owners and GM's but with the players is very important, especially since the annual free agent ritual has become about as pleasant as getting sodomized with a soldering iron!

So to any owners out there who are frustrated.......keep at it and dont' give up. It's not easy, but it feels damn good when you finally get things going in the right direction. And to players who are on a losing team or who maybe wouldn't want to play for a losing team......if you guys on the team STAY TOGETHER as a team, and keep growing and building TOGETHER, YOU WILL get things turned around.

This game is collective in that it takes everyone on the team to make it work. The PAIN are getting stronger because of the time all the GMs are putting in and the effort of all the agents. I totally agree that it takes time and effort, and hopefully everyone will be around to share the joy of it and to see how it all happen!
