I am building a FB on a slow build team. I boosted after I rolled him and have strength soft capped. Its now at a natural 51.5 and have not put any points in it since 49. I plan to soft cap either agility or blocking next. I am currently training blocking/agility on intense.

I also have 21 SP waiting to spend.

Any advice from you experienced FB builders would be great.

Once Agility gets capped I'd switch training to Speed/Stamina. You want to stay in the game to get your full game SP.

Not necesserially an issue. Are you planning on moving on to a real team next season, or slowbuild for another season? If you're still building, ignore speed (since it doesn't get any level gains), and don't worry about stamina yet since well run slowbuild team gets you plenty of snaps. After agility, blocking is probably the way to go, then vision, then consider double capping strength or agility. Speed and stamina should be late on the list for a slowbuild, since capping speed early wastes level gains that could be better used in agility, strength, blocking, carrying, or vision.

Now, for a normal player, speed would be well behind by now, and that and stamina should be a priority. But for a slowbuild who isn't trying to play next season, don't worry about them.

You're right. A slow build can ignore Speed for another season. I don't trust the sim when it comes to proper sub-rates, that's why I suggested Stamina. But if you're getting your full complement, keep doing what works.

I didn't look at his plays...but typically, a slowbuild team has all low stamina, so everyone's coming and going, and with all the blowouts, you run plenty of plays.

Plus, if ownership is really doing its job, they get creative and take the guy averaging 70 plays and put someone out of position in that spot.

If OP isn't getting enough plays, then yeah, stamina.

I get plenty of plays and plan on staying witht the slow build team. So I will leave stamina alone for now and softcap agility then blocking. Then I will train speed/stamina. then 2nd cap strength. Am I on track with that plan?

This is how I slow built my fb.

Triple Cap'd str, then cap'd agl-blk-speed.

I will 2nd cap agl, then 2nd cap speed

I have trained everything else.

He is level 25

THIS IS WITHOUT GEAR
str 75
agl 55
blk 50
spd 48
sta 22
conf & vision 20

With 24 gear I have 97 str

I just started slow building I am in the d leagues now I have not booted yet. Do you guys recommend training to the soft cap or using the attributes to get there too. I am going to spend the next full season just training Speed and blocking, I would like my FB a blocking powerhouse. I am aiming for;

Str/Blk 70
Spd/agl 60
Vision 50

The rest will figure itself out.

Any suggestions for me.

train str/blk to about 28, cap str, cap block, train spd/agi 2nd cap str, cap spd train vis/agi

something like that. use eq for stamina as long as possible.

Because its a slowbuild team, you don't actually care about wins/losses, just getting plays. Wearing stamina gear gets you more snaps.
