I just got my level 34 to a dark green throwing bar. I'm sure there's no way this is the quickest QB to reach that accomplish, I have not built him near as well as I would have wanted to.

Please share your QB's that have dark green bars and tell at what level that dark green was acquired!

Sorry to hear that.
Dark green bars are the beginning of the end. He'll start playing like garbage in no time.

IMO There is a point of drastically diminishing returns after 60, maybe even 50.
