I think I've gotten my drops down quite a bit. But now I have another problem. For some reason, as this season started, I keep getting my balls deflected. I'm rarely able to pull a deflection in, but it's happening with frightening frequency! What's going on? It seems like every defender is getting deflections off of me.

I'm trying to run a Possession build, so getting my hands around that ball is PARAMOUNT.

Opening up your build will help with comments

Hahahah, cheeky.

Alright, I'll open the build. I want to see what's up with this. Is this happening to other people?

tbh, you lack the speed/agility to get open

and since every catch will be contested, you also lack the catching/jumping to make the catch in traffic

+1 speed and agility need to be softcapped and you have way too many SAs

Remember - when the ball comes your way, it's not just your skills that matter. The sim looks at you AND the CB who is covering you. I'd suggest looking at the builds of some of the CBs your going against, or even other guys on your team - I'm guessing you'll find that they're faster, more agile and can jump higher than you. You don't have to be better at every stat - but if you want to distinguish yourself - you should be better with at least 1. For example, if your not fast, you can make up for it with agility and/or jumping. Or if you're a genuine speedster, you can just outrun the CBs, etc.

To echo some other advice in this thread - don't put any more points in SAs for a long long time. Seriously - those SAs should be good for a level 30 WR. Consider consolidating all your equipment (probably in speed, but there are other choices). And watch your stamina - 16 is very low and you're probably ending games with low energy (you might notice more deflections later in the games, when your tired).

It seems our entire team is being plagued by deflections. Are there any other teams that seem to be deflected into oblivion? I saw one series, a wide variety of receivers and a wide variety of coverage ended 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and even 4th down in deflections, followed by turn over on downs.

Thanks for the advice, I haven't looked at my equipment since I made the character. ^^;

If your whole team is getting their passes deflected maybe your QB just sucks.

you should only have worked on 1 SA tree it should be like 1-1-1-1-1 when you start and 2-2-2-2-2 when lvl 15 or 20. so you wasted about 15 points on SA's which you could've used on your speed and agility. wats the point of catching if you cant get open. soft cap speed then catching the agility at this point. Put all equip into speed also. and no more SA's period

Hmm it kinda seems that players on pass defense are playing better this season.

Well I popped over to the QB forums and there are multiple threads discussing why Deflects are through the roof. Apparently some QBs are throwing into tripple covered WRs while ignoring open ones, not to mention the strangely effective zone defense that shuts down passing games for some reason. It might be a balance issue that needs to be rectified.

Thanks for the advice though guys!
