According to the GLB wiki in the depth chart section:

"ROLB

This guy should be your fastest linebacker. He needs to move the most to make plays as runs goto the opposite side of the field from his starting postion. He also plays in nickel packages and sometimes gets called on to cover a WR, TE or HB.

LOLB

Your best linebacker should play here. This guy IS your teams leading tackler and run stuffer. He also has to cover the tight end in most passing situations. The problem with playing your best linebacker at LOLB is that against passing teams he won't play as much because he subs out for nickel and dime packages. The solution to this is simple, either play him on specials teams or play him as the primary backup for MLB and ROLB so he's on the field as much as possible."

But every nickle I see the LOLB is playing and the ROLB is on the bench like in this play:

Anyone? Im sorry if this is a stupid question, Im kind of new at this but something is obviously wrong and maybe the wiki should be corrected.

For a 4-2, it used to be ROLB but that was changed a couple seasons ago. So yes, wiki would appear to be incorrect

For 3-2, I'm not sure.

Your LOLB ned to be fast and have all the tools Str. & Agilty, Vision to see & swim past FB & TE's blocking and well as drop back to cover TE's and man-up RB's.

To my knowledge ROLB's cover some passes if you want them, but are looking any run - most runs come from the defenses left side and therefore the ROLB has to run across field to catch them. He doesn't need High Str. & Tackle but can focus more speed & Vis. to be more helpful.

That guide is pretty old, and personally I didn't agree with all of it when it was written.
