I wanted to start a new thread because I think there was some confusion as to what I was actually posting in the other thread (mostly my fault for including in the title "Power Ranking").

First of all, the following IS NOT:
-a power ranking
-my personal opinion
-a biased ranking of teams in the league

The following IS:
-a ranking based on winning %, opponent's winning %, opponent's opponent's winning % (just like the NCAA uses to rank teams for March Madness)
-completely computer-generated
-a generator of league activity

I know you can't please everyone all the time but I think more people enjoy this than despise it.

Looking at it from a distance... it seems to put a lot more weight on who you played rather than how you did in the games you played... which explains why undefeated teams are "rated" behind teams they beat head to head.

I think if the third input is switched from opponent's opponent's winning % to something like margin of victory... you'll get a completely different output that puts more weight on what you did in the games you played...

That's the problem bro... If we beat a team... it brings down their winning percentage and hurts us... Maybe we should just lose so our opponents can have better winning percentages...

Not true because it also includes the opponent's opponent's winning percentage. I'd love to be able to adjust the program but I don't possess that skill. All I'm doing is providing the results after inputting the data. I'm the messenger, don't shoot me!

Hey man, we're going through the worst six year stretch in HISTORY. We're allowed to get upset now and again.

We're being polite here, lol.

The day Al Davis stops running the team, for whatever reason and whenever that might be, the team will instantly improve.

TBH I have no explanation of the loss to the BlackReign other than i'm confident if played again the result will be much, much, much different. I know we are a better team than we displayed in that game.

Oakland is a better team, simple as that. Move out of the way for the real contendors, warriors and oakland
