I was wondering what it would 'look' like if I had a cover 1 called on defense in this play:

Where would the SS be? What would the FS do?

Your FS will line up in the middle of the field and do nothing.

The SS would check the TE for coverage and since he stayed back would move to double WR2. The FS would drop back into an over the top zone and likely do nothing useful.

This is largely a matter of preference and how your team is built. I wouldn't ever use Cv 0 unless I was generating a rush from a blitz and needed the WR's to be shut down a little bit longer. Also keep in mind that using Cover 0 will pull your safeties from the middle of the field to the edges and leaves you open to a broken tackle on an inside rush being devastating.

My personal preference is Cover 2. That said, Cover 2 in the game absolutely does not work like it should (a lot of times when there is a streak route with a faux route underneath the safeties bite on the underneath route and end up under the coverage).

It's really a matter of finding what works. Most teams seem to be using Cover 1 on Proform from what I've been looking at.

Agreed, I do in some of those situations as well. You HAVE to make sure there's a rush with them though like you did on all of those plays.
