So far in the regular season Baton Rouge lost at Lincoln Freedom Warriors 14-102, and at home vs Big Money Dynasty 3-31, but won on the road vs Bunghole Liquors 84-21, with multiple RBs having a field day to power that victory. Bung Hole has a 33 over-all rating. Wellsboro give up 9 points on the over-all rating, and have only beaten The Isotopes, who weigh in at a 24 over-all rating.

This will be a fantastic test for Wellsboro on the effectiveness of building a system around the concept of "Star power". It's a "Gut Check" for Baton Rouge - Can they win the games they"are supposed to win".

This match may just give us the "Big Dog of the Bottom"

Back to the purpose of the thread:

I see key match-ups as Dekkon vs the Baton Rouge O-line. If he can be disruptive enough, AND plug up the middle properly, then he'll free up the other D-linemen, and the Wellsboro LB Corps to reduce the effectiveness of what looks to be a pretty solid offense. Wellsboro's Secondary is going to need a bit of help stopping a Buccaneer Receiver Corps.

On the flip side we have Jack Kilbourne (the NT) and "Rush" Passer trying to take advantage of the Wellsboro O-line. Regardless to levels, this should be probably the biggest factor, as the Chaos O-line has really over performed vs many higher level players.

Menemas Fleetfoot will be in the way of Cody Dalga turning in his standard "Big Day" performance. Cody regularly takes it to the bank, and considering that the Chaos running game will probably get dominated,Chances are Cody will get called upon to try and catch back up when push comes to shove.

Will be a good game.
We'll do our best to stop Cody.

Go Bucs!

Wow, you guys did great!

First Series: Just picture perfect Pocket Protection, your guys breakdown really well. The RBs also do a great job picking up the spill-over. Of Course on the first play it looked like we might have a chance, when Both Fray Train and Kearse ran through your O-line, but after that it was business. I can't complain about us not playing right either. At 12:19 2nd & 6.5 on OPP 47.5,Steve Bartkowlski pass to Trashcan Trueman up the right side (23 yd gain) [tackle: Anthony Hardcastle] Bartkowlski hit a man that had two LBs on him. Good throw, good catch. Our guys did what I wanted position wise, they just couldn't beat the man they needed to.

Tarn Wentuck did great forcing a bunch of defenders into bad angles and missed tackles. On the final play of the TD ending drive your Wrs really just left our CBs in the dust. Nice job.

Our first series, both of your DTs just rained death on us. Really beating up the lessor guys pretty bad. Rush Passer broke through almost without getting touched on the three and out.

BRC next drive, we did a pretty good job of disrupting the run, until Rocksmasher ( well, one of the Rocksmashers...) set-up a FG, and nearly scrambled for a first down.

Our next series we actually moved the ball down the field for a new set of downs, but stalled around the 50. On the BRC medium short drive, it pointed out a few range issues, that are most likely going to get addressed rather shortly. Another TD, solid performance.

Next drive it looked like WCC was getting down to business, until Robert Chamberlain breezed by our FB, Ernie and dumped Julius on his head behind the Line. Jeb's catch brought us to the 3 yard line, but we couldn't punch through. 3-10

At this point, since we had a good drive vs Rush Passer,it appeared that possibly it would be a close game.

12:55 3rd & 12.5 on OWN 37
Steve Bartkowlski pitch to Makeahole Jones [missed tackle: Shawn Micheals] [missed tackle: J.R. Rice] [missed tackle: Fray Train] to the left (14 yd gain) [tackle: Bone Duke] - We had stopped the drive, and Makeahole Jones just demanded the First Down. We eventually shut BRC down again, forcing a Punt. Rush Passer tallied two Sacks on WCC series, and that was it for trying to catch up.

Couple of Big Runs resulted in a FG for BRC. I notice a tendency to run really far sweeps by BRC. I don't have much of an opnion, since you kicked our ass, but these might be hurting you against other teams. Against us, your RBs have enough speed to force some bad angles, but only just. A few times they got you stuck for negative yards. When we play towards the end of the season, they may just not work...

3-20

Tough next series for WCC, ends when Cody drops a possible catch that would have taken us to the BRC 30. We trade punts WCC got it back on their 40, get shut down, and punt again. Nice momentum by BRC, to end the First half.

BRC, stops our first drive of the second half. Missed tackles plague us as BRC rumbles down the field for a TD. Interception kills our next drive. The game is way out of reach at this point. BRC Rumbles down field for another TD.

BRC scored another TD to close out the 3rd quarter.

Start of the 4th, It appears that the BRC D is slightly tired at this point, and Seneca is getting more time to try and make things happen. We still end up stalling, but BigLeg does a coffin kick tha has BRC starting at their 6. After forcing the three and out, WCC gets the ball at BRC 45.

Cody finally gets his breakaway off of a deflected pass. He catches the deflection and goes 44 yards for the TD. Too little too late. It's really a case of WCC needing to develop a bit more, and then still step up to the plate vs BRC.

Ugly Game, but I'm looking forward to the other two games we have against each other this season.

Nailed it on the head with that breakdown. I'm also talkin to the OC about those wide runs. On paper, the plan looked different. Dunno why we did all those. Learning experience, and a good testing game.

Those two picks, 1 for a TD, with Rush Passer Mathieu D'mas getting tackles for losses and sacks forced more long yardage plays. That was the key, I think. We did better, score wise, than I thought we would.

Wellsboro O-line could not deal with your DTs. Especially "Rush" Passer. That was huge. Also, as you noted (In PM) our young QB and WRs are in serious need of polish.

yeah offensively was a bit of an experiment. i was getting aggrivated with the offensive setup i inherited and pretty much scrapped the whole thing and started over from scratch (which i should have done before the season probably but i was lazy, shhh don;t tell jack). taking a look at the wide runs and seeing what i can do about them doing more of that "north/south" running instead of "east/west" for today's game.

<fiddles with the settings some more...oooh... QB naked bootleg sweep- wonder what that does?>
