That's correct. The right call for most teams would be to blitz both LBs, assuming your SS is better in coverage than your ROLB. This puts the SS man up on WR5.


32, Cover 1, Man Under, Pass Focus, Strong Shift, MLB Blitz is the call.

The FS wasn't of much help there as he didn't pick a side to help. Not sure if that's a vision thing or what.

He did his job. If he goes one direction, the throw goes the other. Though, that is my CB playing backup FS. His vision isn't great, but it's at least soft capped. I could try to find one with my real FS playing to see if there's a difference.. But I'm lazy.

I think he would have been more effective if he picked a side (but it is just my opinion) and forced the QB to throw it a certain direction. From what I could tell, he wouldn't have been a factor on either throw from where he was at.

MLB and ROLB, yes.


For future reference, here is a list of which linebackers are in which set.


4-3 = ROLB, MLB, LOLB
3-4 = ROLB, RILB, LILB, LOLB
3-3 = ROLB, MLB(LILB), LOLB
4-2 = MLB(LILB), LOLB
3-2 = ROLB, MLB(LILB)
4-1 = MLB
3-1 = MLB


I'm not 100% certain, but I'm pretty sure that if you only use the RILB/LILB slots, that it will use the LILB to replace the MLB. Or you can just use the MLB slot to take care of that.
