Yea next season after we've won the conference and league championships and moved up, you guys will have a chance to occupy the spot where the great Corpus Christi team is and will remain this entire season including the playoffs. By the way, teams haven't been having too much luck after they started talking smack to us. The kittens err tighas tried it and lost focus and got mauled by the cheetas last game

Make sure you get all your zingers in before we play, since they don't sound nearly so special once you've been whooped. Regarding the histories of our respective franchises, we've played three times. In season 3, our team's prior owner played your team's prior owner. We were the Humboldt Harvesters and you were the Sactown Bulldogs. Sactown was a good team but Humboldt was terrible (2-14 for the season and lost the matchup with Sactown 89-0). Next season (season 4), both franchises had their current owners. It's not pretty after a team that was terrible to start with gets gutted, but we were rebuilding as well as possible. We finished season 4 with a 3-13 record by winning 2 of the final 3 games. Our first win as Corpus Christi and with me as owner was against - you guessed it - the Rainham Raiders. We won 34-3. Last season (season 5), both our franchises showed tremendous improvement. As you mentioned, probably the highlight of Rainham's season was when the managed to upset Corpus Christi 20-9. We got revenge by hunkering down and improving our play dramatically, finishing the season 10-6, 6th place overall with a playoff appearance. Meanwhile Rainham self-destructed and finished 8-8, out of the playoffs.

However, relying on your big moment of last season to happen again is not realistic. Your team has improved somewhat but we've improved light years more than your team has. Rainham has no chance to beat Corpus Christi. The only real question is will Corpus Christi merely exceed the current teams' record of 31 points margin of victory over Rainham that occurred in season 4, or will Corpus Christi beat Rainham by more than the 89 points margin of victory that occurred in season 3 when both teams were under prior ownership?

If I want to read a story I'll buy a book Sly! You expect me to read that useless rubble? Going back to season 3 and 4 to brag, that is weak. Simple facts, we beat you last season, have gotten much better like yourselves and will test your Corpus Christi team...I look above and see alot of blah, blah, blah....

Nothing to do with bragging. You asked a question about our team's history and I attempted to educate you. If you choose to remain ignorant anyway that's your decision. It explains a lot about your team, and why you don't have the slightest chance to win this season. Those who can't learn from history are doomed.

Learn how to read there genius, the question was didn't we beat you last season, not could you please go ahead and recite the GLB history of football. I need only know that my history with your team is 1-0 and I don't plan on changing that to 1-1...Our team has been and will continue to be dominant, and we will prevail!

You seem to have trouble with rudimentary concepts, so this may take you a month or more, maybe a year or more, to begin to grasp, but there's a concept known as opening a subject area which exists in most arenas where differences of opinion are expressed, like courtrooms, debates, or informal discussions. The premise of the concept is that you can't argue one part of a subject area and then object when in response the person who disagrees with you wants to discuss other parts of the same general subject area, or as in this case, to show he's about 100 times more knowledgeable than you are.

Since you opened the subject area of team history, all your complaints about my responses connected to team history have only showed your bad form and inability to understand simple connectivities. Since you're a GM for the Raiders, the demonstrated mental struggles of your team's management would give me supreme confidence, if I didn't have it already. Of course the possibility exists that you are merely appearing to be a moron to make us overconfident but since I've seen your team's talent level and scouted your gameplans, it's clear that only the neurally challenged would believe that Rainham has any chance to win.

Another example of the Rainham brain trust. I don't know the Samuel Johnson quotation, though I've read him well, but prefer his more talented contemporaries. Here's some that are actual quotations:

We know only a single science, the science of history. - Marx

A people without history
Is not redeemed from time, for history is a pattern
Of timeless moments. - T.S. Elliot

Fellow-citizens, we cannot escape history. - Lincoln

Only strong personalities can endure history, the weak ones are extinguished by it. - Nietzsche
