so i've been gone for the longest time, came back and spent 25 sp.. but how useless is my guy?

Strength: 64.05
Blocking: 14.35
Speed: 14.35
Tackling: 31.57
Agility: 40.57
Throwing: 10
Jumping: 45
Catching: 9
Stamina: 36.99
Carrying: 8
Vision: 48.89
Kicking: 9
Confidence: 14.35
Punting: 10
3-5-9-1-1
0-0-0-0-0

the effect I was going for was that my DT would block passes at the dline
i got a few PD's in, but then i had exams and forgot about GLB for a while
I see there has been some pretty radical changes to GLB.. is my build still viable?

These guys are refering to your low agility and very low speed (confidence needs a lot of love too). What's in vogue in GLB at the moment for DEs are sp/ag that are over 70, mainly due to the fact that o-linemen with str +80 are also very big. What this adds up to is that you aren't ever going to overpower your oppenent but you can easily run around him with a speed rusher build.

The jumping really is overdone in my opinion as well, but keep in mind that it is taken in to account for diving tackles as well as PDs, so MAYBE he'd be a force once his sp/ag were soft capped (at the minimum).

Retirement and starting from scratch would be the easiest route but if you've got that kind of heart that can't give up on a guy...train sp on normal with no activity (to get the slight boost) while getting ag up to the soft cap using Skill Points. Then save you're SPs, while continuing to train ONLY sp on normal, till it's about 25 and then use what ever SPs you have to soft cap that as well. From that point on don't put a SP into anything other then sp/ag untill those two attributes are to the point where it costs 3 SP to raise them again, during that period train confidence on normal.

I don't know where you're equipment is but I'd sell it all and move everything to sp while going through the process.

This all would take about 7-8 level ups to complete so you'd have to have patience and an owner who'd work with you through the process.

He's a DT, actually. Speed is low, but not as bad as you make it seem. Agility should be the main priority for him first.

The jumping is a total waste, but he should be capable of finding work for the minimum.

Speed is low, but not as bad as you make it...?

Are you kidding me? You can roll higher speed than that for a lvl 1 player. 9 into swat ball is also a huge waste.

As someone with a pretty solid DT I'm gonna go ahead and say thta you definitely need speed. 11 Hurries in my last game against higher level competition tells me this.

Centers aren't trying to get 5 yards into the backfield to either hurry a throw or get a sack.

I'm not saying his speed is good, but since he's a DT, it isn't as bad as the poster above me made it seem. For an end in the low 20s, speed should be approaching (or at) the second cap. For a DT, it should be approaching the first cap. Clearly, he's low, and does need points there. If he were an end, he'd be fucked, but a run stuffing nose, he can get by if he accepts back up jobs for low pay while trying to get it higher.
